I have never heard this song played on radio in the UK at Christmas :oh: so I always associate it with Christmas in Ireland and it makes me a teeny bit homesick when I play it

Why are Christmas trees bad knitters?

Spoiler:

They keep losing their needles

Merry Christmas TiBB

I have every Dan Fogelberg album .... great taste :smug:

Merry Christmas TIBBers

Kinda struggled to how I would start this so I suppose I’ll start with how my year has gone. This year for me has been a bit of a struggle to say the least.

It started of well, I was happy and content in my 1st year of going back to college to study Bookkeeping, doing extremely well in my exams in May and finally being a step closer to leaving my job which I don’t really like at the moment.

Then midway through, things just kinda started to fall apart. My dad decided to stop paying the mortgage on the house so me and my sister have had to work a lot of hours to help my mum with the payments. My car broke down in August and I had to sell it, my 2nd year of college was cancelled a week before I was due to start in September because not enough people were enrolled on the course and sadly a friend who I knew from school tragically died in October.

It’s been relatively difficult the last few months but I always try to remain positive and optimistic that things will hopefully get better. Life can be very difficult at times, but if the events of this year have taught me anything, it’s to try and enjoy life as much as I can and try to be a lot stronger during the bad times and now it seems things are slowly starting to look a little more positive again.

I’m very thankful that I found this forum (maybe a little too late ) as it’s a great release valve for me to talk about things that I’m not able to in real life (would you believe that no one at my work watched I’m a Celeb this year?). Everyone has been very nice and friendly, which kinda makes me wish I joined sooner. My main aim on here in the new year, is to try and get to know people a little better and make more of an effort as I feel that’s something I’ve lacked trying to do.

So.. Merry Christmas everyone, I notice that a lot of people here have had struggles probably worser than mine this year and what I would like to say is that I hope the new year brings a lot more positivity and happiness to you all

To finish off on a more happier note, here is my favourite Christmas song this time of year

...awwww, Big E.....there are no struggles worse than your own struggles because ...we create our own ‘worse’ because of what’s important to us and our loved ones etc ..and what impacts most in our lives...you’ve had a year, eh......but each step, you’ve got through it...and that’s such a credit to the person that you are...I can’t imagine that your mum is anything but the most proud mum in the world with her children and the comfort you’ve been to her..I’m so very sorry to hear about your friend......my best friend died in a motor bike accident when she was 16yrs old and I know how devastating it is to lose someone when they’re so young.../...how much it blows your world apart...I’m so glad that you feel a part of TiBB and you feel so much affection for it...I think that would probably say that you joined just at the right time......this is a great forum ...but it’s only great because of the members...because of people exactly like you, Big E....I wish with all of my heart for 2020 to be a good year for you and your family.....

Awww Shaun. A great message there. I love it when people open up and speak about their struggles. It always puts any of my own into perspective and I know you've had an awful year. God bless you and your family. Hope 2020 brings so many good things for you and them.

(Also....everything Ammi said. She always puts things across successfully and succinctly. Bravo)

Always here for you as you have been for me...to listen and give good advice.

I'm a bit emotional now haha. Xx

Merry bloody Christmas y'all! It's gone so quick :o

I don't want to repeat what basically everyone else has said and I also doubt anyone really truly cares what I have to say so here are some cute Christmas bawps and I put it in a cute font (and in green obviously for Christmas) because no one really uses them unless it's for a ranking or sig and it's kinda sad #justice4thefonts :p

Kate! 16-12-2019 04:07 PM

Thank you Riley

Great tunes.

Ammi 16-12-2019 05:55 PM
