Nicky91 08-05-2020 07:36 AM

3 days till Eurovision Week :dazzler: first of all on BBC Radio 1 & 2 :clap1:

12th and 14th eurovision song celebration livestream shows on YouTube, with a nice eurofan video recap (anyone who sent in videos of them singing/dancing to their fave esc tunes)

14th for us dutch we got Beste Zangers Eurovision special

15th last of the eurovision home concerts

16th Europe Shine a Light

as for today yet another eurovision home concerts episode :dance2:

caprimint 08-05-2020 01:27 PM

I don't like Eurovision :worry: Soooo boring to me

Only got The Challenge to watch now (which I need to catch up on later), Idol, Survivor and The Voice USA have all turned to **** real quick this season

Nicky91 08-05-2020 01:36 PM

oh well nice solutions they had for the voice, idol with their home performances instead of studio liveshows

although idol could've handled it like Germany did for DSDS, and hiding audience seats, and more studio lives in front of judges alone with graphics backdrop, bigger stage to perform upon for public viewers so maybe that could've been a better solution for america too

caprimint 08-05-2020 01:44 PM

Yeah I think it worked well enough, not the same but best they can do really

tbh i am not too bothered about empty studio's :fan:

i actually find lets dance germany quite nice without annoying audiences who clap through each performance for example

it gives a more intimate atmosphere, and you have more attention for the performance

as for isolation update: my mom keeps asking me what do i think if any holidays this year or not, i myself do not know :(

caprimint 08-05-2020 01:47 PM

But what the bloody hell is wrong with America not voting him through

...?

caprimint 08-05-2020 01:48 PM

Where would you like to go on holiday Nicky

do you have any alternate summer plans yourself?

caprimint 08-05-2020 01:59 PM

Sounds pretty cool, bet there's lots of lovely places to go in your country :clap1:

Nah I'd never go anywhere during the summer anyway  Probably will just be taking a few daytrips to a few cities when corona is over (London, Birmingham, maybe others too )

caprimint 08-05-2020 02:01 PM

Somewhere I really want to go that I haven't been yet and heard good things about is Bristol

Nicky91 09-05-2020 01:32 PM

And you grow veggies? :amazed: That’s so cool, my uncle does too and sometimes he enters competitions and stuff with them

Nicky91 09-05-2020 01:56 PM

yes i am doing that, already given them some water in case my dad forgets it after dinner D:

but carrots are among those very easy to grow i guess

i also have a mix of flower like Dahlia, buttercup, peppermint, as well as lavendel, rosemary

our garden is very insect friendly, and also bird friendly with their daily cup of birdfood we throw in birdhouses (everytime is empty when we check on that afternoon :fan: ) also waterbath which we give them fresh water for them to drink, take a bath in

Crimson Dynamo 09-05-2020 02:42 PM

hearing lots of nice birthday messages on our local radio today :flutter:

very nice socializing efforts being made here in alternate ways :hee:

one of our radio dj's who's also a stand up comedian, she said i don't want theatre tours right now if just for 30 people (including cast and crew) since that is not worth it, only wanting to do her theatre work when it's back to normal

and she doesn't want to risk one of her best friends getting infected who is her camera, sound, lights guy

caprimint 09-05-2020 04:19 PM

I've gotta go for the white wine today
