Yea I'm glad they got Jaime Winston involved as she already did a fantastic job playing Babs on screen

It’s been really good since Chris Clenshaw took over I’m really optimistic for once

The show is starting to get better now, a new family is finally on the square but I wish they had no links, Alfie and Freddie should cause frictions with the Slaters with Big Mo back soon and Little Mo potentially returning and I'm glad the Slaters have moved back home.

Then you got Mick leaving, Lola dying, Sam and Phil potentially getting into a big showdown which I'm certain will see Grant back.

Ben and the ‘Ballum’ fans have actually ruined Eastenders for me I can’t lie, haven’t watched it for so long

I have to agree, despite being a Callum fan. I don't enjoy them as a couple and actually prefer them both when they aren't together. Dare I say such a thing on Twitter though and I receive a swarm of threats!

I can’t wait for Mick to leave. Other than his first six months (when the Carters as a whole were more watchable) I don’t think I’ve ever really liked him.

I agree the quality’s upping a bit but that’s not saying much considering how poor the past couple of years have been (and it was bad for quite a long time before then as well). I’m probably most-interested in the Slater revitalisation and Kim’s Sam continuing to grow into the role again. I’d love for Denise to have a good story again (it has only been about 12 years) but they don’t seem to have any decent plans for her so I wouldn’t hold out hope. Sadly.

I wouldn’t mind Ben disappearing with Callum at this point. I don’t like either of them, not as a couple and not as individual characters. On the subject of the former (the coupling) I’ve never understood why some people act like they’re the new Chryed (I don’t think the writers have ever even intended for them to be anything like that). The difference is Syed and Christian were actually decent characters for what they were and they featured at a time when more people gave a damn about the show. If Callum on the other hand left on Monday no-one would remember who he was by the weekend.

I only caught the last couple of minutes, waiting to watch the Strictly results. RIP Dot/June.
