This will be the quarter final by the way. Next week is the semi final. The final will be a week before Christmas. Along with 2 of your best dances you will also be performing your showdance and of course a dance to a Christmas number if you make it all the way to the final 4!

I judged. Movie round was ok but musicals were a whole other level, great job guys

Act 1 is our Movies Round

1. First up is Lewis and Amy with a Jive to Johnny be Goode from Back to the future


Toy Soldier: I was smiling from the first step, what a classic and perfect for the dance. A strong opening to the show... I doubt this is going to be topped

Barry: I’m guessing you don’t watch strictly but we just had this this year to a jive on movie week. It’s predictable too, but it was good

Parmnion: Surely the original has been in a film, and would have been better than this. It was a good move though, but the cover version left me a bit flat.

2. Jake and Katya with a Charleston to Pink Elephants from Dumbo

Toy Soldier: I weirdly enjoyed it and have to give points for the unusual choice - however I think the temp was a little bit slow for the dance

Barry: Maybe it’s me but I didn’t get the Charleston from this song. I liked the song though but I don’t know

Parmnion: I dont know why I liked this, but I did. Not sure about the speed of it, but it was fun and enjoyable

3. Alf and Karen Quickstep to Hanky Panky from Dick Tracy


Toy Soldier: Another good effort but I'm not 100% sure of the ong choice in all honesty. Lively but not a perfect fit. I found myself tuning out towards the end in all honesty.

Barry: This was pretty good and you did so well too

Parmnion: Oh you tease, that was amazing.

4. Kazanne and Johannes with a Tango to Be this Alive from Shall we Dance?


Toy Soldier: Well it was certainly a Tango - very steamy! The film looks absolutely terrible but I can't deduct points for that! However I had a perfect choice in mind for this dance which would easily have been a perfect 10...so I will have to score it lower

Barry: It worked well with your dance and I think you did it justice
