Surely it couldn't have been the legendary Charlie Buchan?
So I'll go for Don Roper? |
Quote:
His career started after Buchan's finished, started a while before Roper's but overlapped. (apparently I got his position wrong, he was Full-Back rather than Striker. But his still Captained both England and Arsenal) |

I've researched him in the past. He's one of the all time greats. The great Sir Stanley Matthews said that Eddie was his toughest oppenents. . |

[BBC bosses told the former England striker yesterday afternoon that he either had to stop his politicised posts or quit the BBC altogether] Thats better. |
Apparently the big noises in the Beeb and government are gonna DEMAND a full apology from Lineker !!
This definitely ends with a massive shake up of MOTD ! Definitely ends with Alex Scott taking over the main show for the foreseeable .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Cant see Gary backing down now it’s gone too far
On the plus side they have saved themselves a chunk of change, he is massively over paid for what he does |

the 3 pundits collectively will save a small fortune.
The BBC had little option but to boot him after he said he would say what he liked and carry on presenting the show |
No Presenters tonight
on the BBC1HD show [Match of the Day to air without presenters, pundits or BBC commentators after Lineker removed Since the BBC announced Lineker would be "stepping back" from Match of the Day, several pundits including Ian Wright and Alan Shearer have pulled out of appearing on tonight's programme.] https://news.sky.com/story/match-of-...ditry-12830720 |
Honestly good on everyone who's rebelling to the BBC's actions here.
He didn't say anything which reflects on the BBC, only himself. He didn't call for violence, or say anything inflammatory. Giving him a "yellow card" over that is ridiculous. |

You are missing the Point, Oliver Jewish Groups have asked the BBC CEO, Paid by all of us, to get an apology for using 1930's Germany The Cocky BBC paid Star Gary, says No apology So it is logical he is not going to present Tonight's show |
