He didn't build the wall, he didn't arrest Hillary, and the economy did improve. Maybe it won't be so bad.

The longer she delays this

Disrespecting the Democrats

They were gleeful enough about her participation they invited her to apply to be part of it next time around... the poll people are very lovely, in my experience.

I had exactly the same experience. Felt no judgement whatsoever

Everyone was so friendly and encouraging plus it was very diverse which always makes me happy. That is the America that the media refuses to show.

I have no idea how it will turn out, but the wall isn't the problem with him. He couldn't have arrested Hilary, because he didn't have the abilty to do so just on a whim. His supreme court has since given the president the power to do whatever he/she wants, including murdering his political opponents. The economy improved because it was on that trajectory from Obama. It improved by way more under Biden, on that same Obama trajectory.

He will have learned some lessons from his first time around, and whilst I think power and money is enough to satisfy such a small man, the people he has surrounded himself with are extremely dangerous.

I don’t even think he’ll make it through the full term, he’ll either croak or they’ll get rid of him and install Vance

bots 06-11-2024 03:38 PM

it wouldnt surprise me if someone tries to pop him again and is successful

he wants to stay out of jail, make money and play golf. There are plenty nutters in the wings more competent than him that will enact the plan

Kamala could still become the first female President. If sleepy Joe steps down now.

She got over 20 million votes less than Biden.

Did the Democrats really lose over 20 million voters? Or did they just cheat last time?

Crimson Dynamo 06-11-2024 03:50 PM

Vance will be a great successor

It's set up beautifully now

The woke nutjob Dems are so far off the pace the make the Tories look organised

MTVN 06-11-2024 04:00 PM

Anyone heard from Harris yet?

It'll be more like 10 million fewer by the time all votes are counted I think

Still a significant drop off though

Two of the first comments I heard this morning as the result was becoming clear was one Democrat blaming 'voter suppression' and 'disinformation' for the result and then someone asked if we had to fear rampaging violence from Republicans off the back of Trump winning :umm2:

Honestly if I was in America ,I wouldn't be voting for anyone.

I am so disinterested in our politics & American politics is crazy.

Social media is nuts on both sides as well.

Yeah that's how i feel. I find American politics "interesting" but try not to get too invested in any of it. It's honestly like a WWE storyline :joker:

The Democrats really need their own version of Trump in 2028 to win people back round again. An outsider who hasn't spent their whole life towing the party line and can actually speak to their base with enthusiasm and offer something new. Trumps two big successes were:

- reconnecting with the Republican base and particularly blue collar republicans who were sick of the same old drab politicians

- broadening the support to people the Republicans didn't normally speak to. That helped with the Hispanic vote this election but it also really connected with the young vote. Trump made the Republicans cool again especially with the endorsements from people like Joe Rogan, Bryson DeChambeau, Hulk Hogan etc. that was a whole section of voters that was politically homeless and Trump mobilised

Honestly Hulk Hogan talking like he does, ripping off his shirt (and the trump shirt by accident) and then making his nipples dance was the best part of all of it for me

It just didn’t feel real

Like something from a fever dream

It was one of those ‘is this real life?’ moments for sure
