Cute interviews

How did it take six/seven days weeks to film Tanya’s scenes when she’s only in a few episodes?

Because she only filmed on Saturdays, which obviously had to be done through the night as they filmed outside.

The worst xmas eastenders ever...fake, and as realistic as my 15 inch penis.

Why would it be real?

I detested Max and Stacey and have said so. :hee:

My comment referred to your shock at it being fake. Of course it's fake.

Ronald. 27-12-2017 07:57 PM

Still can’t help but feel Stacey had a personality transplant over night. The Stacey I’ve watched the past few years would never do that. I know she still cares for Max but didn’t think there was still any chemistry between them. R.

:clap1:

Cheap fodder to move the plot along and force a Stax element because it's 10 years since the original.

I hope this isn't the start of a pattern with John Yorke. I'll forgive him because he's trying to finish off plots that were crap to start with but I was hoping for better characterisation tbh.

Yes I agree with all of that , but it confuses me just who Stacey is now. All that character development undone. Maybe it was also just a way to reintroduce the slaters , for them to be there for her at a messy time without having to revisit Stacey’s bipolar again . Either way I’ll keep a close eye! R.

I agree. Her speech in last night's episode about how there's still a part of her that wants to be free just felt forced, as though Yorke wanted to justify the sudden change in her character.

Ronald. 27-12-2017 08:50 PM

I want Carole to come back and sort her brother out. R.

Marsh. 27-12-2017 08:54 PM

I laughed at Phil throwing Max across the garden without so much as an effort. YEAH RIGHT

Ashley. 27-12-2017 08:56 PM

I laughed at Gillian Taylforth's acting for the majority of the Christmas episode

Marsh. 27-12-2017 08:57 PM

I don't know why they refuse to allow Phil to do like Aidan, still be an arsehole criminal but leave the fighting to lackeys who can handle it.

It's like the writers don't want to offend Steve McFadden by telling him he's a tad old and fat to be at all believable winning every fight he has with men years younger than him.

He goes from waddling down the market on Christmas morning barely able to catch his breath to swinging Max around like a rag doll.

I think a lot of viewers like seeing bad tough Phil and maybe they are catering to that a little . My wife says they’ve made him soft always sitting at the dining table being made breakfast by Sharon , treating him just like Denny. . I agree though it’s not realistic especially after his health problems to be the king of the square now. R.

Oh I agree. Nice Phil is boring and out of character, but physically fighting is no longer for him. Time for him to be more of a Jack Dalton or an Archie Mitchell.

Ronald. 27-12-2017 09:11 PM

I must say I absolutely love Karen now . She’s becoming my favourite character alongside Sharon and Denise. R.

Marsh. 27-12-2017 09:12 PM

Yeah, the actress has really settled in and she's hilarious.

They stuck out like a sore thumb at the beginning because they tried so hard to bring them in as mouthy sponging chavs rather than three dimensional people but at least they're settling in now.

I started to despite the awful shooting storyline but now I'm feeling they're completely superfluous.

BUT they may just come into their own with Big Mo and Jean. :fc:

LukeB 27-12-2017 09:22 PM

Ted and Joyce need axing..bring back Les and Pam

I'm hoping for a Little Mo return
