I am bias, but Scholes will always be better than Lampard and Gerrard for me.

I agree. Gerrard and Scholes are way ahead of Lampard imo. If he didn't score the amount he does he'd be nothing special.

Hardly a knock on either of them though.

True. Lampard and Gerrard are great players, but Scholes always had that bit extra.

Scholes could also score. I've never really been a fan of Lampard. Good player, yes. However, he's never been a player that will pick out amazing passes like Scholes or Gerrard for me.

Also Scholes rarely loses possession. When United have struggled to keep the ball sometimes, Fergie will send him on to calm things down. And he does. He could also play in the hole in his younger days. He can do everything but tackle.

How many players have said Lampard is the best they've played against? Or complete? None that I can think of. When he retires everyone will mention his goal scoring and nothing else. Scholes had these flicks and tricks several years back. Add to that he wasn't half bad with his head (Lampard isn't either mind).

Will any Brazilian come out and say Lampard was good enough to play for Brazil when he retires? Socrates did for Scholes.

Lampard doesn't dictate games like Scholes does. For me, not close to Scholes.

Darron Gibson was similar at United (until towards the end when his shooting became crap), he couldn't half shoot but picking out quality passes was something he just couldn't do. Not saying Lampard can't. But, he's not known for anything but goal scoring.

Whelan is probably my fave owner.

Same guy that said this, in regards to Rooney's elbow on I think it was McCarthy back in 2011....

Quote:

“Something is wrong when a top international like Rooney is seen doing something like this, as clear as day, and is allowed to get away without being punished. If it was any other club or player, you can bet your life he would have been sent off. But officials seem intimidated by the words ‘Rooney’ and ‘United’. Manchester United are allowed to get away with things the rest of us get pulled up for. And you can’t have one set of rules for one club and another for the rest.”
Saying that when a good friend of his manages said team.

Lampard has actually got double the amount of Premier League Career Assists Paul Scholes has got and only second all time to Giggs

Drew. 11-05-2013 02:33 PM

Lampard, Scholsey and Gerrard have different traits, and are class at what they do.. unfair to pick 1 out and say hes better than the other 2

Yeah, you're probably right. Just a shame England could never take advantage of all three.

who you today

bbfan1991 11-05-2013 02:40 PM

I agree, they all have different traits and are all class. England are still obsessed in thinking that the Gerrard/Lampard combination works, for me it still does not and whilst I hope they stick around for experience some of the younger lads should be given a go.

At least Michael Carrick has deservedly got lots of praise this season, he has been quietly consistent for United for ages now. One man midfield at times.

MTVN 11-05-2013 02:41 PM

Lampard's a twat

Carrick should be in the starting XI for England consistently. Lulz at Cleverley chosen ahead of him mostly. Laughable.
