well for one her performance was bashed by everyone, critics alike. and Secondly, all the acts were absolutely **** at performing her songs.

Well the only critisim I can recall was how she didn't mentor the contestants and her lyp syncing which was just pathetic.

And now daily mail is slagging britney of again this time for wearing glasses and there comparing her to a character from thunderbirds WTF seriously, see this is why celebs like britney have public breakdowns!!!!

well you clearly have very selective memory because as anyone on this forum last year will remind you, she was absolutely ravaged by the forums and the media.

As much as I'd love to see another Britney week (seriously, I would), her songs are just.. those sorta songs that either suit you or they don't, unless you completely change the arrangement (which won't happen on XF... maybe on AI).

I hate to say it Steven, because I love Britney and I loved her performance on X Factor and thought it rocked!.. but it's true that it did turn a lot of people against her in this country. Most people in my school make jokes about her lip-synching and she is a joke to some people. Britney knows this, but tbh, if she really cared she would changed so good for her!

to be fair.. so have a lot of other artists, but it's almost 2010, and nowadays.. live music is REALLY appreciated, especially in pop music. Most serious artists nowadays perform live, even those who do electropop/upbeat music (i.e. GaGa, Madonna, Cheryl Cole, Ciara, Girls Aloud...). Hell, GA used to lipsynch a fair bit themselves but it's not the creditable thing to do anymore, hence why artists who do so lose popularity, it's not just Britney.

oh &what Gary said. Lipsynching on a singing contest is quite ridiculous, that goes for Same Difference +anyone else who's done it, not just Brit.

Sony BMG Japan have listed a new Britney Spears album on their website for release first in Japan on July 29th 2010 and a new single on May 31st 2010.

That's perfect, I was hoping a July release :) so very happy if true. Cnt wait for britneys new sound.

I would way prefer her to release it in November / December 2010.
