are most of the big guns fit to play? I'm going to the game

bbfan1991 04-12-2011 01:43 PM

Glad United got the win even if it was 1-0 but we need to be scoring more goals.

Match was OK and both sides had a few players pick up injuries:(. Javier Hernandez' was awful in particular.

Glad Phil Jones got his first United goal!:D

I Love Chico like every other United fan BUT we play a 100 times better when he is not on the pitch. He is a great finisher but his passing hold up play etc are quite frankly poor. Would love to see him come on say in the 70th minute of matches with his pace and movement when the defence is tired

Pissed off!. United out of the Champions League, no excuses because we were awful and just dire.

Well done to Basle and it's Europa League for United now.. C5 will be creaming themselves!

(City out tonight too is no consolation either:bored: ).

Being serious though Fergie owes every United fans a massive apology. He was a stubborn bastard in the summer point blank refusing to replenish that terrible midfield. I don't want to hear any excuses about money cause he had money and has done ever since Glazers took over

Time to take this cloggers out and put Pogba and Ravel in with Clev

Brother Leon 07-12-2011 10:11 PM

Fergie does not "owe" us ****.

The mere fact we have won what we have the last 2 decades or so is down to him. I am incredibly pissed off and upset but no way could I every blame him for anything. He could **** my girl and I would shake his hand.

Legend killer 07-12-2011 10:18 PM

^^ Nah that doesnt cut it with me. Don't get me wrong the club is forever in his debt but when he is in the wrong which in this case he is fully he has to take the blame. His GOAT like status doesnt change the fact he ****ed up BADLY

bbfan1991 09-12-2011 08:38 PM

Vidic out for rest of season:bawling::(.

9 first teamers out of the Wolves match.

I am trying to keep a PMA but it is hard. United need to buy some more players but I don't think SAF will do anything in January, so we'll have to wait until the Summer next year!

If the Glazers cough up!

Where have I heard that before? You really need to start spending now, just if you can afford it?

At a time where United need more signings it is frustrating but SAF has never seen much value in the Jan market and prefers to do business in the Summer.

However, he has not fully ruled out making some signings if the United squad suffer from more injuries.

Went to villa last week! Off to the game tomorrow aswell!
Hopefully we can put on a performance after this weeks disaster.

 I bet you didn't see Nate who was there last week.

I agree United need to bounce back and welcome to you on here:).

We were never going to get someone worthwhile in January. Who would turn down CL football or leave CL football for Europa (If your not even cup tied that is). Summer will be the key time when we hopefully recover from Wednesday night and have a good season, attracting the central midfielder we so badly need.

We gotta act quick before the Euro Championships cause the obvious price inflation after. Inter aren't doing too well but I got a feeling City will try get him just to take the piss. No excuses over money. We spent a **** load on De Gea,Young & Jones, those were obviously who Fergie wanted over a CM and I am sure they will come good in the end.

I am not even bothered about Sneijder now, he had his chance and it did not happen.

I hope United try and sign Javier Martinez or Mario Gotze in the Summer, although there are lots of clubs that want them.

Legend killer 09-12-2011 10:36 PM

With Vidic out we could struggle to finish top 4 and that is no exagerattion. We might aswell scratch this season off and use it as a rebuilding year let's blood some of the youngster's in now cause let's be totally honest we are not winning the league nor the Fa Cup

This is the team we should play up untill the end of the season with Vida njured

Lindergarrd ( Lost patience with De Gea TBH and Lindy has never let us down)
Jones
Ferdi
Smalling (Better CB than Jones)
Fabio ( Time to think about life without Paddy)
Nani
Cleverly
Pogba
Morrison
Young ( Close call cause TBH hasnt played well since Le Arse)
Rooney/Wellbeck

TBH i'm getting sick of Rooney and his every 3 month goal droughts and if the opputunity was to arise to get a Wc cm like schwestiger (sp) and a few other pieces i would get rid

As for the summer a LB needs to be purchased , aswell as a DM and AM. However with that being said Pogba and esp Ravel will be WORLD class in a couple of years time
e
Also please don't act like the Glazers are not coughing up money they have given Fergie money whenever he wanted which in the last couple of years has not been spent wisely IMHO ala on a FUKEN CM or 2

bbfan1991 11-12-2011 10:45 PM

Pleased with the United win vs Wolves on Saturday:). The whole team did well, although I was annoyed with the defending for Wolves' goal.

Chris Smalling struggled at times with Matt Jarvis and Steven Fletcher running at him and Carrick/Jones worked well in Midfield controlling the possession. Nani/Rooney and Valencia in form too.

Jonny Evans had a great game also, despite some United fans slagging him off before the match had started:bored:. Rio Ferdinand showed why he is one of the worlds best defenders still and works well with the younger players!

I liked the ''Thursday Night Channel 5'' chants from the Stretford End, glad to see a sense of humour from the United fans:joker:.

Carrick has played the best he has for about 4 years lately fair play to him

Manchester United and Scotland midfielder Darren Fletcher is taking an extended break from football due to a serious stomach illness.

A United statement said the 27-year-old is suffering from ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory bowel condition.

His last game was in the Champions League against Benfica on 22 November, when he scored.

The club said Fletcher had "accepted medical advice to take an extended break".

He is taking that break "in order to afford the best chance possible of achieving full remission once again".

The statement added: "Darren's continued desire to play and his loyalty to both club and country has probably compromised the chances of optimising his own health and fitness.

"We request that his privacy is respected and hope that the removal of the additional stress associated with speculation regarding his health will also aid his recovery."

Fletcher signed a new four-year deal until 2015 with United in March.

United defender Rio Ferdinand said on Twitter: "We are going to miss two big players in Fletcher and [Nemanja] Vidic. I hope they both come back fitter and stronger than ever."

Fletcher made only one start for United last term after 1 March and was an unused substitute for the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Barcelona. He has made 10 appearances in all competitions for United during the current campaign.

Fletcher's absence is another blow to United's season, which suffered a huge setback last week when the club were eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage for only the third time in 16 years.

The Scotland midfielder's illness leaves United manager Sir Alex Ferguson with yet another problem in the champions' troublesome area of midfield.

The club's only fit, specialist midfielders are Michael Carrick, Park Ji-sung, Darron Gibson and Ryan Giggs. They also have versatile Phil Jones plus reserve midfielders Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison as options.

Their injured list in midfield includes Anderson, expected back in February, and Tom Cleverley - who is aiming to be back for some of Christmas fixtures.

The likes of Antonio Valencia, Nani and Ashley Young all play wide roles when United opt for a 4-4-2 formation.

Fletcher's last appearance in international football came in November's 2-1 friendly win for Scotland in Cyprus, in which he played 64 minutes before being replaced by Craig Mackail-Smith.

Scotland's next match is a friendly against Slovenia in February.

Craig Levein, Scotland's manager, said: "I am obviously absolutely devastated for Darren because I know how hard he has worked to get back to playing regularly for his club and country.

"He is one of the most inspirational players I have had the pleasure of working with and, on behalf of his Scotland team-mates and my backroom staff, I sincerely hope this time off, allied to the support of his family, will enable him to make a full recovery."

Levein hailed Fletcher's on-pitch efforts, adding: "Darren has shown tremendous dedication and fortitude, demonstrated by his ability to overcome this illness and perform at the highest level for Manchester United and Scotland.

"I spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson and Darren this week and the most important thing, at this stage, is for the player to be given time to rest and recuperate. Nobody is more committed to his country's cause than our captain.

"He is a central part of our plans for the World Cup 2014 qualifiers but, at this stage, his health is paramount and I would like to reiterate the best wishes of everyone at involved with the national team and the Scottish FA."
