Nonsense Eoin it is going to be the greatest season yet, Saul has brought around regime change in Iran and brought them back into the international community, now Dar Adal is going to crush them while they are weak and off their guard

Iceman 25-03-2014 08:07 PM

Homeland for me was brody....unless thia revolves around carrie then its redundant to me....hyoe it up and build it up all you want but its over for me....enjoy it though.

Season 4 is set in the Middle East

Quote:

After three seasons in Charlotte, NC, Showtime drama Homeland is leaving the US to film its fourth season in Cape Town, South Africa. The end of Season 3 found Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) taking a job as a station chief in Istanbul. Showtime wouldn’t specify where exactly Mathison would work as the new season is still being mapped out, only saying that she is being “assigned to one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East where she is back on the front lines in the war on terror.” At TCA in January, Showtime president David Nevins already shed light on the setup for Season 4 with Mathison in the field overseas. “Homeland is a show that is deeply about a field operative (Carrie), and we haven’t seen her much in the field,” he said. “In Season 4 you will likely see her on the ground in a foreign capital doing her job,” adding that co-star Mandy Patinkin will continue to be “central and important” to the show.

Homeland will begin production in mid-June and shoot through November. “We’ve been so lucky to work with one of the best crews in the business for the last three seasons in Charlotte,” said showrunner and executive producer Alex Gansa. “We knew going into season four that we would need to move the production overseas to tell the story of Carrie returning to the Middle East as chief of station. We are thrilled to have found a new home in Cape Town and look forward to getting season four production off the ground.”

Just seen the first double-ep

Spoiler:

Really enjoyed it actually, especially the first episode. Thought all the scenes revolving around the wedding bombing itself were really good and the different characters responses to it. The second ep got a bit strange though and they really shouldn't have carried on with the Carrie-Brody baby story, now it feels like they don't know what to do with it, like they can't just abandon it but they also realise the show shouldn't turn into a soap opera and spend too much time focusing on Carrie as a mother.

Definitely was good enough to keep me watching at least

Locke. 10-10-2014 05:13 PM

I'm really impressed, I wasn't expecting this season to get off to a good start, thought it may have had some trouble finding its feet after Brody but it was great

lily. 10-10-2014 11:08 PM

Spoiler:

It felt weird for me how they mentioned Carrie and Maggie's dad because the actor died this year..

I don't know where they will take this baby storyline.. I expect Maggie will adopt her.. there's no way Carrie is going to step-up to that role.

Loved Quinn and how he is just unravelling.. he's a mess.

I wasn't sure what to expect with Brody being dead, but it looks like the season is off to a good opener with the wedding bombing story. Looking forward to seeing where it all goes.. especially with the nephew.

i watched the first ep, and honestly i have no idea what is going on., the only thing i remember is that carrie almost killed her baby, but i have no idea wtf is going on this season. i couldn't understand any of the political stuff at all.

The CIA waiting for the media to figure out if it was really a wedding or not? just seemed implausible. and are we meant to hate Carrie now? because she wants to kill terrorists, and now Quinn is the character we all should love because he now all of a sudden has a conscious, even though he was way more ruthless than carrie in season 2???

I don't know where they are going with this, but it seems like they are setting us up to hate carrie and like they want quinn to be the sympathetic character on the show. that won't fly with me.

arista 12-10-2014 06:10 PM

Alex that is a Spoiler

Its starts tonight here

Watched ep3

Spoiler:

Saul :joker: Just turning up unannounced and crashing the operation, top guy. Glad that they've potentially given him a new love interest because his wife is annoying as ****. Quinn had started to become my favourite character last season and his storyline so far this season is ensuring that stays the same.. Hope he doesn't end up in a relationship with Carrie though.

Can't believe how different Fara looks either. She is a GIP now.

lily. 13-10-2014 05:02 PM

Also watched ep3 now..

Spoiler:

I find Saul's wife annoying also. I love Saul though. I hope he has a big role in this season. I think they're trying to push the Carrie/Quinn thing and although I ship them I also like that they aren't together, because there's tension.. plus, I like his new girlfriend.. I think she could be good for him.. cos he's all kinds of messed up right now..

I've always loved Quinn's character though.. he's dark..

I'm wondering where Virgil is though...? I genuinely can't remember if he died already...

lostalex 14-10-2014 08:00 AM

Quinn is definitey getting a very sympathetic edit this series, we are clearly meant to like him and think he is a sympathetic character. which totally ruins Quinn for me! I liked the bad ass, no questions asked stoic assassin Quinn. Not this soppy drunk ****ing fat chicks Quinn. Carrie needs to whip him back into shape.

I'm most intrigued by the young pakistani guy story line who's family was killed. i still can't tell where this is going togo, are they setting him up to be a CIA recruit? or are they setting him up to be the next villain?

arista 19-10-2014 08:01 PM

On Ch4HD now

Shaun 21-10-2014 03:11 AM

this season is already so much better than s3 :flutter:

@ the end of episode 4... GET IT GURL.

lily. 21-10-2014 05:53 PM

I agree. Loving the season so far. Carrie is effing ruthless.

Shaun 21-10-2014 06:59 PM

-jealous tbh-

lily. 21-10-2014 10:37 PM

haha.. He's a bit young for my taste. I'm more jealous of the curvy gal getting on Quinn.. :p

Locke. 22-10-2014 03:14 PM

FFS, that ending :joker: Reminded me of Drew a bit

Shaun 22-10-2014 04:43 PM

he does have a bit of a Carrie vibe now you mention it
