BB is a show on every single night for an extended period of time, it's a large commitment to make as a viewer and those who watch the show most likely won't be able to tune in every single night - so ratings aren't going to be strong as shows that only air once a week.

This. My mum and sis Demand5 it next day when it is on at 10.

Tonight should be on at 9.

Its up against TOWIE now.

I know. However, The Apprentice is on tonight, isn't it?
Basically, as bad as it sounds, BB needs to be alone to get the best ratings. It's not in a position to be against other shows which share the same demo :p There always seems to be something in the way, and because its on every day for 10 weeks, people dip in and out every now and then.

Tonight will be another 1.4m just like last night.

They would have to censor out most of the swearing with a 8pm show. This years lot are quiet swear happy so it would be quite hard to follow (especially Sallie).

daniel-lewis-1985 19-06-2013 11:19 PM

They so should have extended tonights highlights for 15 minutes dedicated to the live action.

Those arguments kicking off will get people gripped.

Only 1.3m incl +1, but everything was down due to the weather.
10pm slot just ruins the momentum.

Wasn't TOWIE on too?

Jemal 20-06-2013 09:05 AM

Sigh. Is it on at 9 tonight?

*mazedsalv** 20-06-2013 09:08 AM

TOWIE was on yesterday, yes.

And it's only on at 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

You can not be serious..

10pm is better, it's an adult show. No way would we get an uncensored '******' at 9pm like we amazingly did the other night

It was on C4 at 10pm mostly, tbh I think the officials will add a fair amount.

Awful midweek rating tbf.

What did live feed get 2k?

I think the officials will be the deciding factor. In the last 3 nights when iuts been on at 10pm it has had competition, yes, they are on multichannels but they share the same audience as BB. Monday we had it with Made in Chelsea, Tuesday we had it with The Valleys and last night we had it with TOWIE. I reckon especially for the 10pm shows, they will jump up to around a 1.8m-1.9m range.

Everything was quite down last night (warm weather) and tonight won't fare much better. Friday' eviction we will see as its on at 9pm and they add a high +1.

But it is a shame, the audience is there, they just don't want to watch every night. It should be getting more, I reckon 1.6m in the 10pm slot and 1.8m for evictions would be good.

DigitalSid 20-06-2013 10:26 AM

Poor set of ratings so far. Hope it picks up, looks like it's going to be a good series.

Vanessa 20-06-2013 10:27 AM

If they insist on showing it at 10 they won't get much better. It should be on at 9. :nono:

Exactly, and even if there is tough competition at 9pm, that would just mean there would be a large +1 showing.

Jamesy 20-06-2013 10:31 AM

It should be on 9pm Monday to Friday. 10pm Saturday and Sunday. Problem with 10pm starts in the week is that a chunk of viewers may be those who work Monday to Friday and cannot stay up late. You may also have younger viewers in school too that cannot stay for the 10pm shows.

Raph 20-06-2013 11:15 AM

Yeah, my little sister is 12 and my parents don't allow her to watch the show at 10pm on weekdays because she has to get up early for school the next day, so I do see that reducing somewhat of a proportion of the total viewers

In which case you'll have to look at the percentage of people who watched relative to the total amount of people watching television. If less people are inside because of hot weather, viewing figures in general will be down but if a decent chunk of that audience are watching BB then it's nothing to worry about.

daniel-lewis-1985 20-06-2013 11:52 AM

It just baffles me that Big Brother articles are allways the most read in the tv section of online newspapers over the likes of the apprentice and the voice, Recently been the most talked about show on twitter and yet gets such low ratings.

Is it to much to ask for 2 million? lol

No more of these embaressing ratings please.
