Game 2

A lot can happen in 5 days. Loves lost, battles fought, puzzles written. But I think we can all agree there has been a void, a wound nearly a week old, left by the ending of our first Only Connect game. So, in a shocking twist, Game 2 is starting earlier than everyone (Myself included!). Yes, same format as before (retooling may occur at a later date), freshly baked questions, and a good dose of rapier wit, provided by yourselves. Consider it a BYOB sort of quiz, which of course stands for, Bring Your Own Belittlement.

So, can anytone beat GiRTh? Will I ever be able to remember which letters are capitalized? Will anyone care that I used a 'Z' and not a 'S'? All these questions and more will be answered soon enough!

But before those questions, it's round 1, the Connections round. You will see up to 4 clues, guess what connects them correctly and score some points. That's the rules, let's get going. Here is your first connection:

Snakes & Foxes is the board game from the Wheel of Time series, which cannot be won without breaking the rules.
Kobayashi Maru is the simulator from Star Trek which is only beat as Kirk hacks it.
Global Thermonuclear War is the game from "Wargames".
And of course, Head I win, tails you lose is pretty self-explanatory. So, 5 points to you, and a red face to me. Guess I'll have to crank this difficulty up a bit.

Second connection, here is your first clue:

Livia 22-07-2013 09:26 AM

It's the book classification system that libraries use. 221 is the Jewish Tanakh.

And don't take that tone with me, young man... LOL

Marc 22-07-2013 09:28 AM
