Urgh

MTVN 10-12-2014 08:32 PM

**** knows how you take 1 point from CSKA and still go through lol

Locke. 10-12-2014 08:35 PM

Liverpool, Roma, Olympiakos all knocked out within 24 hours. Can confirm Europa League is taking centre stage for all sensible folk from now on.

Drew. 10-12-2014 08:36 PM

City finally showing some balls in Europe.. two great wins over Bayern and Roma. Nainggolan is class, get him signed up Arsene.

Black Dagger 10-12-2014 08:40 PM

I love them so much

We'll get dicked over two legs by Real Madrid now yay.

Brother Leon 10-12-2014 09:03 PM

Epic night for those fans in the away end. Would love a City V Real tie over two legs with Aguero back and fit.

Calderyon 11-12-2014 12:09 AM

So...

Man City does the unthinkable and upsets AS Roma by getting a 2-0 win and in the process the second spot and a spot in the last 16. Great effort, didn´t think they could do it.

Bayern easily crushed the dreams of CSKA by a comfortable 3-0 win.

Ajax snuffed APOEL and destroyed them 4-0 and got some of their pride back at the same time. They will be a tough nut to crack in the European league.

Barcelona won against PSG by 3-1 and get their group victory.

Sporting tried their all to beat the strong team of Chelsea, but the London side was too much to handle for them and they lost 3-1. A tie would have been all they needed to qualify.

Schalke got an narrow 1-0 away win against Maribor and will continue their journey in the last 16.

And finally...

Athetic got their revenge for their loss in their first game to BATE way back tonight (yesterday) at their home turf with an easy 2-0 win ending their campaign on a high note. It´s too bad they lost to BATE in the first place. Had they not, they would maybe celebrate a spot in the last 16.

Porto and Shakhtar drawed their game by 1-1 and Shakhtar ended ended their successful group campaign by finishing second and Porto won the group.

Judgement:

Best team (s) : Chelsea, Porto, Arsenal, Athletico Madrid, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Bayern Munchen
Worst team (s): FC BATE Borisov, Galatasaray and APOEL FC
Best player (s): Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero and Luiz Adriano.
Worst player: Too many to name. All of BATE Borisov and Galatasaray to name a few.

--------------

So the last 16 are:

Athletico Madrid
Juventus
Real Madrid
FC Basel
AS Monaco
Bayern Leverkusen
Borussia Dortmund
Arsenal FC
Bayern Munchen
Manchester City
FC Barcelona
PSG
Chelsea FC
Schalke
FC Porto
Shakhtar Donetsk

So based on those i think there are 7 potential championship candidates which are Athletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayern Munchen and Arsenal. Maybe PSG to a stretch.

Locke. 11-12-2014 01:21 AM

Tranmere have got more chance of winning the Champions League than Arsenal

Calderyon 11-12-2014 01:45 AM

Then i guess Chelsea is the only hope for an English team to win in UCL this season. Then again Man City have gained some of their momentum back, i think, so maybe they can be the wildcards of going all the way.

It all depends on the opponents. At least in this round.

Calderyon 11-12-2014 01:54 AM

Chances of going all the way IMO:

Great chance:

Real Madrid
FC Barcelona
Bayern Munchen
Chelsea FC
Athletico Madrid

Good chance:

PSG
Borussia Dortmund
Arsenal FC
Juventus

Wildcards/OK chance/Could be either way:

Manchester City
Shakhtar Donetsk (because of Adriano)
FC Porto

Doubtful:

AS Monaco
Bayern Leverkusen

No chance:

FC Basel
Schalke

Brother Leon 11-12-2014 03:08 PM

**** sake LOL

MTVN 15-12-2014 10:36 AM

Paris St-Germain v Chelsea
Manchester City v Barcelona
Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid
Juventus v Borussia Dortmund
Schalke v Real Madrid
Shakhtar Donetsk v Bayern Munich
Arsenal v Monaco
Basel v Porto

Arsenal getting an easier draw than if they had topped the group

Black Dagger 15-12-2014 10:36 AM

What a load of boring ****e.

Crimson Dynamo 15-12-2014 10:46 AM

Black Dagger 15-12-2014 11:12 AM

"Txiki says City can stay at home next year, they already know the draw."

BBfanUSA 15-12-2014 01:36 PM

Drew. 15-12-2014 04:54 PM

For once we have had some luck.. all this coming 2nd in the group too. Thank you Anderlecht for coming back from 3-0 down.

Shaun 15-12-2014 05:15 PM

beautiful draw

Drew. 05-02-2015 03:30 PM

****ty move by Pelle, such a slap in the face. Jovetic needs to get out of there asap in the summer

Brother Leon 05-02-2015 03:59 PM

Well, he had to replace someone....

Locke. 05-02-2015 04:04 PM

Yes, Boyata

MTVN 05-02-2015 04:21 PM

Boyata counts a club trained player apparently so doesn't affect the number of foreign players allowed

Calderyon 17-02-2015 06:53 PM

Paris St-Germain v Chelsea

Expecting an ven game ending in a tie.

Manchester City v Barcelona

Manchester will try their hardest to win this, but will only get a 1-1 tie or a slim loss i think.

Bayern Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid

Athetico has got this. Easy win for them, i think.

Juventus v Borussia Dortmund

Very even and hard fought game ending in a Juventus win.

Schalke v Real Madrid

Schalke has got no chance in hell. Real Madrid will steam through like a train over them.

Shakhtar Donetsk v Bayern Munich

Shakhtar will fight valiantly, but in the end they will fall to the brilliant Bayern München. If Shakhtar want to win, Luis Adriano has to be in a phenomenal shape and pretty much obliterate them by making at least a hat trick.

Arsenal v Monaco

Arsenal need a good start and an early goal would be good to get, since Monaco has good defence and is great at low scoring and slow phased games.

Basel v Porto

Porto is the clear favorite, but they should not underestimate Basel, who can be a very difficult opponent, if they are taken lightly.

Calderyon 17-02-2015 07:26 PM

Ivanovich scores via header and Chelsea leads 1-0 against PSG.
