But I'm sure years ago before they even killed Kathy off, whenever Ian had a break from the show, him and Jane would go to visit Kathy in South Africa and now she only knows her from photos?

Even nerdier alert (though I saw it on DS)

Apparently the last time Ian went to visit Kathy was in 2004. This is before Jane and Ian got together. Like their romance story was just starting out so she never actually went with him to South Africa.

I thought tonight's episode was brilliant. Great writing on all the scenes. I love Babe so much as a character omg  Elaine clicked for me tonight too so I'm happy she's staying around and I'm intrigued to know what's going to happen from here between them.
I nearly spat my tea out when Ian got hit by the car though omg :joker:
I LOVE why Jane hates Kathy. After everything the Beales have done for Bobby, to be greeted by a mother with those sorts of reasons for abandoning a child would never sit right with her.
Shabnam and Kush scenes were great too. I didn't really get the point in Abi, Ben and Jay at the end though

Also
Spoiler:

so this huge climax to the Dean stuff is going to happen on Mick and Linda's wedding day. I hope this doesn't mean that the Christmas episode is going to feature the Carters heavily again.

And finally: http://bbc.in/1R0Y8j6

The trans actor they were talking about at the start of the year has been cast.

Spoiler:

So he's already started filming if his first scene is this month. If he's going to be in the biggest storyline of the new year then my guess is he's a Carter. What a surprise :joker:

On TV: 23rd November

Billy: Don't worry. It's three courses. They've even got garlic mushrooms.

Honey: Garlic mushrooms? I had no idea we were going that posh.
Honey

Marsh. 10-10-2015 12:19 AM

Oh not dippy honey.

Marsh. 10-10-2015 12:21 AM

Abi choking.

No wonder Ben prefers Paul, he has no gag reflex.

Marsh. 10-10-2015 12:25 AM

"gavin didn't have any kids"

I'll remember that when his thug of a son is introduced next year.

Marsh. 10-10-2015 12:29 AM

Jane and Kathy having a competition who can call Ian "love" the most times in 30 seconds.

Firewire 10-10-2015 12:36 AM

Bobby killing off every member of his family? :fc:

Tom4784 10-10-2015 12:43 AM

Kathy will bring him down whilst Sharon deathstares them both.

Marsh. 10-10-2015 12:53 AM

I'm afraid they've spent weeks on the monotonous teasing of the story and then all of the reveals done and dusted in one episode.

Ian's acting far too nonchalant after 10 minutes.

Ben's reaction was perfect though. And totally how I expected him to react. Ian always has and always will idolised his mum. He's got less reason to hate her than Ben does - Ian may have had a lot of tragedy happen to him, but Kathy "dying" is one of the reasons Ben is as messed up as he is.

Marsh. 10-10-2015 01:28 AM

Yeah, but that fast?

I think I'd still be dumbfounded for a fortnight. :omgno:

You're probably right and by the end of next week, Ian will be acting like she never left.
I hope we're not left waiting too long to find out what's happened to Phil.

Also  at all the Paul scenes.

Rob! 10-10-2015 01:33 AM

I'm legit turning into Ness.

Yeah, I'm just glad they threw in the curveball of her lying about what she told the police. Adding a bit more intrigue to the story. Lol

I don't get why she'd go along with Gavin when he has Phil tied up somewhere and put her sons' lives in danger though

He's good, isn't he? And he has great chemistry with the actor who plays Paul. Now if. Abi can stop cockblocking! :fist:
