The writing wasn't quite on point and tbh I didn't like any of the companions :worry:... But I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt and think it'll work.

I get what people are saying about the portrayal of the doctor but I remember thinking the exact same about Smith and his fish fingers and custard, and he grew into my favourite doctor by the end so .

Changed my mind about the theme.

Too repetitive. It's like monotonous?

I know we're too used to Murray Gold's orchestral stuff but, still.

Or maybe it was because it was extended over that long guest star reel at the end. (Speaking of which, get those viewers with Julie Hesmondalgh and Shobna Gulati!!)

I actually preferred the little part we heard of it when Jodie first crashed through the train. That sounded cool.

There seems to be a lot of love for Ryan online, which I'm puzzled by.

His phony accent just... no, I can't take to it. Should've just kept their southern accents and said they moved to Sheffield.

They might have a different version for the opening, that was just the end credits

I think this episode was just the usual post regeneration episode, The Doctor isn't quite done cooking and doesn't really show up until the last five minutes.

I've seen her in so many things I've lost count, she's always good though.

FINALLY watched it.

Omg :flutter: I loved it. Saw some people saying the monster was a bit naff but I thought the premise of stealing people’s teeth was really creepy.
I LOVE that we know nothing about next week or pretty much any of it. PERCHED.

Excuse you! We know that Ms Shobna of Gulati will be in it! Somewhere! Sometime!

Actually follows the RTD pattern.

Present day earth - alien planet - historical for the first three episodes.

Rob! 11-10-2018 10:34 PM

Spoiler:

I love how slowly we’re getting series info :flutter:

Marsh. 11-10-2018 11:03 PM

Let's hope she pulls it off. Found her a bit wooden in both Waterloo Road and Sherlock.

AProducer'sWetDream 11-10-2018 11:09 PM

I'm sort of worried about how they'll handle that ^.

Spoiler:

Some cheesy alien threat will seem really trivial and out of place, especially close to the anniversary of her death.
Would be a good opportunity to revive the 'purely historical' story of old though

Marsh. 11-10-2018 11:10 PM

I LOVE this. Especially the sonic building bit.

Rob! 12-10-2018 11:43 AM

Wow, that's gorgeous. You can tell they'll be a lot of variations on it too, like a dramatic version and a sad version.

Rob! 14-10-2018 01:46 PM

Episode 4 is called
Spoiler:

Arachnids In The UK

MB. 14-10-2018 01:49 PM

Episode 5 to be called Never Mind the Daleks?

Nicky91 14-10-2018 01:51 PM

i am excited for this tonight

I'll keep watching - I usually watch one episode when there is a new Doctor Who, and give up. And I'm wondering how they get out of being stranded in space.

Made on the cheap in Wales.

Scarlett. 14-10-2018 03:07 PM
