Why have kids if you can't be arsed to look after them on the rare occasions you aren't at work and they aren't at school, remember this was in the middle of lockdown...you were quite militant at the time iirc about kids mixing with other kids, now it's ok to infect your family and grandparents because it's too 'stressful' to entertain a 4yr old yourself?

I don’t think Cherie was defending them?

He needs to go

Stay alert

We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

stay at home as much as possible
work from home if you can
limit contact with other people
keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)
wash your hands regularly
Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

Don’t see how anyone can defend this, maybe he got confused like half the population seem to be by simple messages

PMQs will be interesting next week if he isn’t gone before then

Even ‘if’ the child has autism the guidance did not change until 9th April and it doesn’t cover the Barnham Castle unnecessary trip which may have occurred while they should both have still been in quarantine

Just thick then; "allegation" is quite specifically defined as a claim of misconduct or wrong-doing.

I accept that he actually means "claims" or "assertions" but he should be more careful when using big words that he doesn't understand, and also actually check the definition when challenged, and apologise. It's deeply offensive.

Exactly, the guidelines being changed after the incident, doesn’t make the incident any less wrong and even then, the new guideline still doesn’t allow for the trip he took, desperate right wingers are using this as the last possible defence, if all else fails, use the kid, it’s revolting

It's definitely a twisted interpretation of the guidance... it was a court ruling that was put in place so that people with disabilities who need access to more stimulation / outdoor activity for their mental wellbeing could have access to that. e.g. we have made use of it to occasionally drive 25 mins to the beach with my daughter on days when she's been distressed (as it always calms her down and has a lasting effect). But that's basically what it was intended for; outdoor exercise/activity outwith the immediate local area for people who have a specific need for that (so for us going to the beach, for people living in cities could just be driving out to the countryside). It was never intended for road trips across the country!

As far as I have read it was just the two if them in Bluebell wood, there was no mention of the child which would mitigate it ‘if’ he autism

Well yes like I said earlier, I don't buy at all that the child was the reason for any of it... if he even is autistic? That seems to be unknown anyway. He's being used as an excuse which is really, really sad. The obvious reason for all of it is that Dom Cummings does not consider himself "general public" and felt that the rules didn't apply to him. I don't think this is a surprise really. The situation with Johnson and Cummings has been really ****ing odd for years, with him quite blatantly pulling all sorts of major strings. Johnson refusing to get rid of him now is really concerning. There's literally no way he's just "a trusted advisor" - he clearly has influence, somewhere, that runs deep.

Either that or he's been sucking Boris off under the desk.

His trips were never about child care or anything else, he thinks he’s above the public and broke the rules to go and be with his mother on her birthday and to go away for his wife’s birthday, it’s absolutely no coincidence, as much as the entire situation boils my piss, it’s actually quite amusing to see different people twisting themselves up into different stories to try and defend what actually happened
