Has the football gone to penalties?

Strictly Jake 17-06-2021 07:31 PM

It is week 4 of Strictly Tibb Dancing. Last week saw Jake top the leaderboard and getting to choose the next theme.as he turns 31 next weekend he decided to celebrate the last 30 years of music. More specifically winners and nominees of best British single. So who will be walking away with their own award tonight and who should head straight to the drunken after party.

It's time to hit the dancefloor!

Strictly Jake 17-06-2021 07:32 PM

First up is Parmnion and Karen with a Rumba to James Blunt Your Beautiful from 2006

Will this routine be beautiful to our judges or will it have them taking their clothes off and jumping off a cliff(see the music video)

Amy Jade: This was very whimsical and cute but I am not sure Rumba really fits this song, I feel like it needs a really powerful segment to show passion and it just wasn't there for me but still a valiant effort.

Ammi: The Rumba is so much about the hips and the rhythm of your hips was beautiful - we saw an angel and that angel bestowed the dance floor with a beguiling and bewitching Rumba.

Denver: You're beautiful it's true, wow wow wow I'm in tears you really told a true love story with that dance

Niamh: A Captivating performance, beautiful song and goes well with the song choice

Mitchell: A predictable choice, as used on strictly by Colin Jackson and Erin Boag, really suffered in an otherwise great week

Next up is Cherie and Alijaz with a Contemporary to Queen Days of our lives from 1992

Will our Cherie have the day of our life or will she be scored low from our killer queen's....

Amy Jade: This worked a lot better than I suspected it would and I love a surprise. You really did a wonderful job this week and took a risk that really paid off!

Ammi: There are days of our lives when we feel the perfection of dance and this was one of those days. Beautifully blended choreography of dance moves that we could watch every single day of our lives.

Denver: It was a decent performance but for me it lacked something special

Niamh: Stunning!

Mitchell: this was awesome! Not the first Queen song that comes to mind, but I loved it, well done bub

Will we get our zig a zig ahhhh or will it be a zig a zig naaaaa?!

Amy Jade: I knew this would be good and it was everything I wanted. You did a beautiful job. Be afraid everyone else. Potential winner.

Ammi: Such a sizzlingly spicy, fast, hot, exciting, lively rhythmic and saucy salsa - fabulous darling

Denver: If you wanna be my lover sex is 20p, condoms are a fiver buy one get one free

Niamh: Wasn't sure how this would work with the Rumba but it really did, vibrant performance

Mitchell: Wannabe? A salsa? On paper I thought you were nuts, but it ever so slightly worked!

Strictly Jake 17-06-2021 07:44 PM

Next is Barry and Oti with Jive to La Roux In for the kill from 2010

Is Barry doing it for the thrill or will the judges be going in for the kill?!

Amy Jade: You guys really are hitting it out of the park! Another absolutely brilliant performance. On top form, well done.

Ammi: Your jive went in for the thrill and for the kill and it was shocking and rocking and one of the best jives I’ve ever seen. It deserves a magnificent and perfect 10 and will get everything it deserves.

Denver: That performance was bullet proof

Niamh: I actually didn't know that song but I loved it for the Jive, great choice, my favourite of the night so far

Mitchell: Again, a routine I certainly wasn’t expecting to work, but your risk paid off!

Next is Nicky and Johannes with a Charleston to Chumbawumba Tubthumping from 1998

If he gets knocked down will he get up again? it's Nicky!

Amy Jade: I'm really not convinced by this, I actually like the pick but I can't see it as a Charleston and today you haven't convinced me otherwise. Sorry.

Ammi: You thumped the dance floor and you thumped our tubs with that Charleston - an inspired choice that worked so well. Beautiful swinging and energetic steps - we loved it!

Denver: It was a a great yet irritating performance sorry not sorry

Niamh: Love the song, it's very nostalgic for me, it worked pretty well with the Charleston, surprisingly

Mitchell: an original choice, not one of my favourites, but not awful

Next up is Jake and Dianne with a Street Dance to The Rockerfella skank from 1999

Will Jake be bringing Fatboy slim to the dancefloor or just Fatboy?

Amy Jade: This actually really worked so well you really stepped it up this week. Fantastic work, well done.

Ammi: Soulful, funky, acrobatic, explosive, robotic, energetic, elaborate, jerking, twerking and popping. Your dance gave everything and then it gave more…so we can only give that everything right back at ya, baby.

Denver: This is why Skanks should Dance

Niamh: A decent choice but I didn't love it

Mitchell: Not a fan at all I’m afraid

Closing the show is Annie and Giovanni with a Samba to Rizzle Kicks Mama do the hump from 2013

Will our mama be shaking her humps or will it just leave us feeling down in the dumps? It's Annie!

Amy Jade: This was such a fun way to end the show, it was pure energy and excitement. I will have to dock some points as I distinctly remember Tracy Beaker doing this exact combo on Strictly though.

Ammi: A bouncy, energetic, lively and sexy Samba. Fun and upbeat and pretty wonderful

Denver: This just wasn't it

Niamh: Oh this works so well for me, I loved it, Inspired!

Mitchell: Unfortunately was used in a quite famous Dancing with the stars performance, so can’t get any higher from me, but was still a very nice routine and a great end to the show hun x
