Household duties,
Caught up on Taskmaster,
Went out to do the shopping at two different supermarkets - I love the LIDL Plus app, we got free peas from it today

Cherie 19-10-2024 06:58 PM

Oh and we bought a new car this morning but that was at 9am so it seems like a long time ago :fist:

Glenn. 20-10-2024 07:08 PM

Just been to work today. Miserable day

Kate! 20-10-2024 07:13 PM

Went grocery shopping first thing then on to B and Q. Bought a nice plant.

Early lunch, some housework including a spot of ironing. Gave a mini speech in Tibb BB with Benjamin Nicky and Cherie. Currently just finished watching the Strictly Results and now it's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Can't wait for tonight's BB.

Up at six, had a busy morning at home, made lunch to bring to the in-law's, went over and stayed all day, came home and ate a couple of chocolate biscuits, put a computer game updating to hopefully play with my partner this evening.

Ooh nice. What car did you buy? I’m going to view a car next weekend. It’s a long old drive to get there tho, it’s 3 hours away.

Kate! 20-10-2024 07:28 PM

Theme song for this thread ....

We had a Hyundai Tuscon but are going for a Hyundai Bayon automatic as my younger son is taking lessons in an automatic and I believe all new cars will be automatic by 2029 so we thought we may as well get in on it, I had a little test drive and it was fine probably wonder why we ever drove a manual in 6 months time

also the Tuscon was incredibly expensive to drive

Jessica. 20-10-2024 07:33 PM

Our car is automatic too, it's brilliant, we got it last year.

Oh nice. Every car I’ve ever owned has been manual and the one I’m going to view is an automatic. It’s gonna take me some getting used to if I buy it.

to get proper cruise control and all the other fancy gadgets, you really have to go automatic. My automatic has paddles so you can change up and down gears like a manual if you want

Na

You soon get used to an automatic

We got one for the first time about 5 weeks ago … I have only tried to change gear about 3 times since then

It'll take about 10 minutes, they're so much easier to drive. I'd hate to go back to a manual now

Yh I was talking to a friend in work earlier and she said she’d never go back to a manual after she bought her new car a couple months ago.

You just pick up certain habits when you drive a manual car (well I did anyways )

Had a day off for thw bank holiday so went golfing again. 1st hole is a par 5. Very windy conditions.

I hit a great drive, 5ft from the out of bounds post just before the 2nd horse jump(you can see exactly where on tv when Kelso races are in ITV) 2 racecourse workers were checking the jump about 20 years In front of me which made me wary for my 2nd shot, but not as much as the out of bounds post directly in my line 5ft away(the actual racecourse part of the racecourse is out of bounds) so I yanked the 3 ft post out the ground and pulled out my 3 wood. Hit a perfect shot, held straight in the wind and landed on the green running out to 10 inches from the hole. Simple tap in for am eagle 3.

Seemingly though, it dont count, cause I removed the post, which is classed as an unmovable object.

I'm taking it though, still cant be arsed to look up my golfing thread so here will do again..

1st ever par 5 eagle, and best shot ever, with witnesses.

Just to work and back. Too tired to do anything else.

Glenn. 23-10-2024 07:15 PM

Babysitting at the minute and I just want to go to bed

Jessica. 23-10-2024 08:00 PM

Lots of housework and a nice walk in the park, it was a beautiful 26º.
