Also, I live in a very Latino/middle eastern part of town. I was genuinely surprised by how many of them wanted Trump. Like genuinely shocked.

A family I know from Lebanon were saying they want us to help them get their country back together.

- reconnecting with the Republican base and particularly blue collar republicans who were sick of the same old drab politicians

- broadening the support to people the Republicans didn't normally speak to. That helped with the Hispanic vote this election but it also really connected with the young vote. Trump made the Republicans cool again especially with the endorsements from people like Joe Rogan, Bryson DeChambeau, Hulk Hogan etc. that was a whole section of voters that was politically homeless and Trump mobilised

Like who? There's nobody like Trump. He's a one off.

They've come from tyranny, they've escaped it. So they know what it entails. So of course they support Trump.

Honestly what we really truly need here is a party that is in the middle. I can genuinely say that most people I know and talk to would all fall under the ‘middle’ category. They hate the left and the right and feel stuck with who to choose.

I just wish we could have a normal person who has genuinely struggled before in life and knows what it’s like to be at the bottom. I feel like if you have never struggled (or served in the military) you should not be allowed to run for president.

Yeah, I guess that’s the basics of it.

Every single person I have talked to about living here (yes, I’m talking about immigrants) have said how much they love and appreciate being here.

And honestly, what is most important to me is that they say their kids are much happier and safer here. Which is hard enough to believe in itself because… Baltimore. But I guess it is better than living in a war torn country

Oh yeah no, so there was one family who did move back to their home country and that was because the father didn’t like how much video games and TV kids were allowed over here. So he took them back so they could appreciate more important things in life.

And that honestly makes sense to me

It’s just a shame how ill of them he speaks huh

I'm really surprised by how un-close it is. I thought it would be basically 51-49 to one or the other.

I don't think Trump's win could quite be called a "land slide", but it's certainly decisive.

It just didn’t feel real

Like something from a fever dream

It was one of those ‘is this real life?’ moments for sure

It really was but honestly this whole campaign has been full on fever dream. We've had Trump convicted of a felony and shot during a rally then by the end of it he's working in McDonalds and driving a bin lorry :joker: and at his winning speech he has Dana White on the microphone I mean wtf is going on really

Well let me answer you a couple of those points. Trump loves his McDonalds but really, it's because Kamala falsely claimed she worked at McDonalds. He was trolling.

The bin man was because Biden called all Trump supporters "Garbage" so he trolled them by becoming the "garbage man"

Oh yeah I know why he was doing it, it's just hilarious all the weird **** that happened during this election

And I didn't even get into the Dem campaign and Bidens debate disaster and then him wearing a MAGA hat

What an election

Vice President Kamala Harris has recalled her stint at a Bay Area McDonald’s 41 years ago in introducing herself to voters — a biographical detail relatable to millions of Americans who have toiled in fast-food restaurants.

But former President Donald J. Trump has repeatedly accused her of inventing it. Lacking a shred of proof, he has charged that she never actually worked under the golden arches — recalling his earlier false claim that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States.

Mr. Trump’s latest allegation also appears to be false.

Whether a presidential candidate actually flipped burgers as a college student is a far less serious allegation, of course. But Mr. Trump’s seeding of doubts about Ms. Harris’s story, while insidious and outside the lines of traditional fair play in politics, advances his goal of portraying Ms. Harris as a fraud.
No proof she didn’t and every trump fan I’ve seen online is garbage. I’ve yet to find one that’s engaging and clued up

He speaks like we the people do. Not like the political class do, with all their lies and avoiding of the questions with political speech. That's why the people love him.

I can't say he talks much like me, to be honest :joker:

Glenn. 06-11-2024 05:59 PM

Adding to my previous post that I’ve come to that conclusion by watching his supporters interviewed at his rally’s. They don’t seem to understand anything. When asked about different stuff they just don’t know the answer or just give the wrong answer.

One that comes to mind is a red neck complaining that Obama didn’t do anything about 9/11

You never worked in a factory or a building site ect, Where the common man works? Them's the people Trump speaks for, the little, forgotten people. The ones who work themselves to death for peanuts, but are so valuable to our survival. While the elites rob them blind by taxing them to death

Ninastar 06-11-2024 06:23 PM

If you’re going to run a country, you need to learn how to speak like a decent human being

Who made those rules? What's not decent about the common person?

No one, it’s just my simple opinion :)

Glenn. 06-11-2024 06:30 PM

Typical Democrats, blaming the non-White people.

I mean she could if she wanted to. Trump did the exact same thing last time :joker:
