Judging a show's worth or popularity by it's overnights is silly when a majority of people will watch things on demand. Pretty much the only thing I'll watch live is films on Sky Movies if I happen to catch one I want to watch. I'll TiVo everything else or watch it on demand. The viewership is still there, it's just the way that people watch shows has changed. The fact that Doctor Who has a stupidly large international fanbase will likely ensure Doctor Who's future by itself if the UK viewership wasn't there. |

Worst ending ever?

I enjoyed parts of that but on the whole I didn't really like this two parter, watchable but not great
|
I liked it tbh, it was better as a two parter, but there were parts which I loathed

I miss present day episodes

Here for Maisie Williams next week
|
Weakest episode of the series so far. I loved the Doctor rocking it to the opening theme though, lol. Also, nice to see RTD's era getting references (it really bugged me that Moffat acted like they didnt exist in S5-6). The Fisher King was pretty underwhelming, but it turned out that he wasnt the main point of the episode.
|
Can't say I understood the ending but meh it was entertaining.
The fisher king looked and sounded awesome. The Minster of war :worry: |
I thought that was the best episode so far this season. I'm intrigued about this 'War Minister' business though, I'm guessing they'll end up being this season's big bad. I think I know how Clara will leave too. She's travelling with the Doctor to run away from the fact that Danny's dead so I think something will cause her to face his death and deal with it and then she'll leave because she'll see that travelling with the Doctor won't help her in the long run. She'll outgrow him basically, I think.

The Minister of War sounds interesting. It's obviously the finale big bad. As long as it's not missy returning with the daleks I don't care.

Halfway through and I'm not quite following this episode.
I enjoyed part 1 and although I like them playing around with the two part format, I'd have preferred part 2 to be the same pace and tone of part 1. |
Reading a review on DS it sounds like...
Spoiler: Just a thought. |
Finally all caught up on this season...
I am madly in love with Capaldi.. But Jenna can't leave soon enough :fan: Spoiler: |
It's not Jenna's fault that she was given a trash Danny Pink storyline (which is my understanding of why most dislike the character?)

With that in mind, was a love interest story between the Peter Capaldi Doctor and Clara considered too left field, leading them to bring in the Danny Pink character. |

People who make those cheesy youtube video could make a love story between a brick wall and a piece of fruit. |

Now we've established you're pedantic. :smug: |
The thread name is a bit out of date lol
|
WTF was that **** in the sky
|
Maisie = Clara probably
|
don't like episodes like this with basic storylines but they go far too deep into a character we'll never see again (not a euphemism)
