Yeah I agree. However I hated the way the writers completely shunned Roxy in favor of Kat & Alfie by romanticizing the fact that Alfie just left her at the altar. :laugh:

I liked it too... it was around the time when Kat/Alfie were getting tedious as a pairing. Her affair with Derek was strange, along with her "I'm a slut, I can't help it" phase, but it was good television nonetheless, and the reveal was brilliant.

The way the Carters treated Cora after Stan died was awful

Yeah, I think having a fairly normal character previously helped her.

The other recasts were because they wanted to mature the character and give them bigger storylines whereas they let Abi/Lorna grow up quietly in the background first.
