And lol Ex on the Beach isn't a competition show at all. Basically every series starts with 8 singles and from those 8 singles you end up with a complicated incestuous cast of like 30 people by the end because their exes keep showing up on the beach and then those exes have exes etc. There's about 3 eliminations a series (usually the producers will contact the cast via an iPad and tell them to pick someone to leave because the villa is getting too full) and the rest just leave the villa in the final episode with nothing gained or lost.

(And Love Island's version of BOTS actually beats the main BBUK highlights show in ratings now)

oops does it not seem like ~my~ type of show? I doubt I'd watch just bc I imagine there's like 40 episodes a series and there are no commercials so each episode is 75 minutes or something outrageous like that.

alol I think this fun fact is actually what got me so intrigued by Love Island. When BB becomes so stale that an aftershow beats it in the ratings :love:

Each episode is about 45 minutes (this last week they've added an extra twenty minutes so including adverts about an hour)

And yeah there's around 35 episodes a series. Don't bother with S1 but you'd love S2.

There are adverts. They've started extending the evening shows to 80 minutes though because it's doing so well in ratings.

This actually sounds suuuper similar to ~PARADISE HOTEL~, another show in my endless "to watch" queue but that my sources tell me was fantastic bc the producers shamelessly rigged it to the only good outcome.
