Stuart is so tedious to watch the acting is embarrassing.

Firewire 18-06-2018 10:12 PM

I hate him

I saw it here, but the article doesn't specify: http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/east...s-from-august/

Although it does say it will "re-air from the beginning."

How about a late night re-run of April 2004 to January 2006?

(ie. the full Chrissie/Den/Dennis/Sharon/Mitchell's stuff storyline).

Greg! 18-06-2018 11:37 PM

Did Peggy ever share a scene with Den? Idk why I thought of this but I want to know lol

Nope.

Den "died" in 1989.
Peggy first appeared in 1991.
Then Peggy left the show as Barbara Windsor had health problems in early 2003.
Then Den returned in late 2003.
Then Den died for real in 2005 and Peggy returned after he was dug up and threw Chrissie into his open grave for trying to frame Sam.

So they kept missing one another.

Denver 19-06-2018 12:12 AM

She kinda met his ghost in Doctor Who though

This restaurant has had about 4 makeovers and all of them have been vile.

The stained glass window is nicer than before though.

I bet Ian's insurance premiums are bloody expensive for his businesses, they all blow up, burn down, have stray vehicles smash into them!

Stacey quoting Charlie "Get in, love" made me miss him.

Not Hayley becoming Charlie 2.0 a taxi driver. :skull:

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:12 AM

That episode was so dull

It felt like it was never going to end

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:14 AM

The Max/Rainie stuff is so disconnected from the rest of the show

I swear we haven’t seen Rainie since the start of May at least

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:14 AM

And the story hasn’t progressed at all since they got here

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:14 AM

Sorry but I’m fuming that she’s being wasted!

Marsh. 19-06-2018 01:20 AM

Everything is disjointed.

Storylines are springing up out of nowhere. Stuff that would usually be a major plot line, then they either end quickly or just disappear.

It's almost like Mel/Jack/Sharon/Phil filmed a storyline all in one block.
Max/Rainie/Slaters film in one block.
The Carters and Masoods film in another block and then the editors chop them all up and jump from one to the other.

Like Carmel's story, they ploughed through months worth of material with her over a couple of weeks and then relegate her back to the background. :skull:

Instead of interweaving everything and letting it naturally develop with them running alongside and taking it in turns taking centre stage, they just appear and vanish at random intervals.

It's like groups of actors are on the same rota as one another and everyone else is on another one.

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:24 AM

I can’t tell if Stuart is badly acted or just meant to be really annoying

And Gillian Taylforth just stands in the cafe all day

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:26 AM

Patrick’s missing money story right after the E20 one :skull:

At least we know who took it this time

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:27 AM

The Charlie taxi stuff is weird without Kat being there too

It’s a ****ing mess :joker:

This show is in a terrible state, we need good stories NOW

Marsh. 19-06-2018 01:35 AM

Omg, I have INDIVIDUALLY cleaned carrots!

:laugh2:

They have so many brilliant actors in this cast and they're all being wasted.

Ross. 19-06-2018 01:37 AM

I don’t think Rainie is going to be here for long

She’s barely appeared with people other than bloody Robbie or Max

Marsh. 19-06-2018 01:38 AM

I hope Jake Wood quits. I don't think he's someone they'll axe, but Max is just finished. Get rid.
