Final score

Barnet 2-2 Arsenal
Everton 4-1 Rochdale
AMAZING result for Barnet!:cheer:
A draw against a weak reserve side, in a pre-season friendly wouldn't be my definition of amazing
Give them a break. Barnet are a League Two side who are happy to get a draw out of a game with Arsenal. It's obvious that Arsenal weren't putting out a full-strength team and that it was a pre-season friendly. What I am saying is that it feels good as a Barnet fan to get a draw out of Arsenal.

For the 2009/10 season, I have a feeling that Everton will come fourth and Arsenal will slip down the table to fifth.

Arshavin
Gallas
Sivestre (always a sub)
Rosicky (hasnt played in almsot 2 years)
Almunia
Djourou (played like 5 games)
Simpson (doesnt ever play in premiership)
Wilshere (got like 1 premiership game last season)
Randall (didnt play prmeierhsip)
So no.

I pointed out the everton starting 11.

Not people from the bench or people left out of the squad.

Most of the other everton players were on in the firt team that never play premiership football..

3 that actually played consistant 1st team football for arsenal last season.

Good draw for barnet

The arsenal squad wasn't there weakest by far they had some decent players in the squad

Locke. 18-07-2009 04:47 PM

Barnet completely destroyed Arsenal today, that scoreline does not reflect how the game went.

The Point am making is with that squad arsenal used today they still should be beating barnet Arsenal are suppose to have the best youth side and the best young players yet when there on show they never produce the goods

30stone 18-07-2009 04:49 PM

Ahahah
Funny how everything ive read shows that Arsenal were the better team eh.
And the Barnet goal keeper had to do the most.

And yeh its a good result for barnet.

They Drew to Arsenal reserves / under 18's

+ like 3 regular subs and 2 first teamers.

Novo 18-07-2009 04:57 PM

Arsenal will have to get better in time for there trip to goodison park or else it will be a JO walkover

30stone 18-07-2009 07:34 PM

Adebayor has lost respect from probably everyone involved in football.

Novo 18-07-2009 08:29 PM

Everton will beat arsenal in the opening game off the season wearing that kit

Manchester City have added to their collection of strikers by signing Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor on a five-year deal for a fee of around £25m.

The 25-year-old joins fellow new signings Roque Santa Cruz and Carlos Tevez at Eastlands.

And with Robinho, Craig Bellamy, Valeri Bojinov and Benjani also on their books, City have an embarrassment of riches up front.

"I can't wait to play for City's fans and show them what I can do," he said.

"I was born to play football and that is what I want to do. I have come here to make history for this club and those supporters.

"It what the chairman and the manager told me that they want too and I can't wait to get started."

Novo 18-07-2009 08:34 PM

They will be using most of the money for a new signing maybe 2.

They dont need to pay off the debt with it, they are a very financially stable club.

Novo 18-07-2009 08:40 PM

I think arsenal need someone like Nacho Novo someone who can score Goals...

30stone 18-07-2009 09:04 PM

Ahaah yeh yeh...

Hope we buy someone good now.

Good luck to Ade.
