On tonight's edition of ECW on SyFy, Vince McMahon announced that ECW will finish up in three weeks and will be replaced by the next evolution of the WWE.

The final episode of ECW on SyFy airs on March 23rd, with the debut of "WWE NXT" to air on March 2nd. The episode will likely be taped that evening from Wichita, Kansas.


WWE has registered the trademark NXT, for "the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through the media of television" Sources within WWE that the ECW show will be re-branded as WWE NXT, with NXT standing for next generation.

What the hell?!! I mean good idea in principle....but I bet they screw it up!! Makes sense though really, bring guys and girls from OVW onto this NXT, work there until they ready then ship them to SD. And ECW been dead for a long time anyway, the name means nothing!!

Yeah its great that ECW is ending (well it isnt but yeah it was dead) but then it leaves about 10 wrestlers in limbo.

Hope NXT has its own set of belts

My school is strict on homework on time. Thats why I do it over the weekends.
