they wanted tanks, germany first said no, but if you throw your tantrum long enough, you have to submit to the new reich now they want fighter jets, so they will obviously get them to, no matter what we want i'm pro-russia, never ever supported ukraine, i'm not an evil person, just my own views, and i always thought there was freedom of speech, but Ukraine is denying that to Donetsk, Lugansk, banning people there to be pro-russian it is almost like turning muslims to christianity, denying them their rights of their religion **** You Zelensky Russians ain't nazi's, they fight naziism, and Ukraine are deffo showing some seriously vile nazi traits, their views being law, i understand and sympathize with the people in Donetsk, Lugansk against the corruption within their national government and it feels like me being silenced also the west made things worse for themselves by the bans of Russia from UEFA/FIFA, EBU, NATO all the sanctions from them onto the russians that wasn't an invasion at first, russian soldiers went into ukraine yes, but more to provide support to donetsk, lugansk, how many times do i have to repeat myself the mass graves well, all of the victims are anti-russians since the pro-russian ukrainians aren't being harmed by russian troops this is NOT a war, Putin does NOT want a world war, just a special operation to exterminate the nazi roots from the country if only the west had just remained silent, looked away we also wouldn't have been in this gas/energy crisis but that is we west love to do, interfere in conflicts which doesn't concern us  Finland, Sweden do not have to join NATO, the former especially when a group of their population also speaks russian language for example, same in baltic country Estonia, where they also speak russian language, among the languages they learn at schools and also if Putin is ill, maybe just not ill enough for him to step down, but if he was truly gravely ill, he would step down you know, but he always has been a true fighter and always a 110% passion for politics no offense to others their views of course, but these are my thoughts |
my apologies for my long post, i have been feeling very stressed entire last year until now regarding this matter
feels just good to get this off my shoulders now |
Nicky you have flip flopped on this issue one hour to the next. Get a grip

A war between the US and Russia at this point is unquestionably not ANY sort of conventional war... Ukraine has been holding Russia's best efforts at bay with equipment from the US that's basically their toys and trinkets. Literally their piddly little playthings. The actual firepower and tech (non-nuclear) that the US has onboard its ships and aircraft carriers is insane. Just to put one small part into perspective - the USAF has something like 120 active 5th-generation fighter jets in service... Russia has 25 total, only 5 active. And 4th gen and below aircraft are functionally ineffective against 5th gen aircraft. They simply can't even see them. And that's just one aspect. Basically it wouldn't be a war it would be a bulldozer - and that leaves Russia with only two viable options in that scenario... pretty much immediate cease-fire and talks, or hit the big red button. There's a reason the US is fighting via Ukraine. |
Ukraine are always being defended, they can do no wrong, they're perfect
one more thing little adolf Zelensky did ''not allowing djokovic his family to attend his matches at australian open'' :yuk: |
Ukraine & Russia are basically the same culturally, to declare Ukranians "good" and Russians "evil" is just nonsense really... half of them have the same grandparents.
ALL of this is politics, not differing ideologies between the actual populations. It actually makes it an incredibly sad war, IMO. Most Ukrainians and Russians will have had friends and family on both sides of the border. |
I'd point out also that this is a "war for resources" but that's not really any sort of a point to make. All wars are wars for resources. Maybe a small handful throughout history have been purely ideological, but even those for the most part, is just surface ideology being used as an excuse for a land/resource grab.

Do we have reason to assume that should Russia ("re")take Ukraine, they'd go on to other countries? As ToyBoy said, Ukraine is more culturally similar to Russia than Western European countries or America, it's not like they're one of out allies.
Lots of "faith-based" countries are constantly at war with each other and themselves, and the West doesn't get involved with all of them, what makes Ukraine different? Is it simply the relative proximity? |

Russia wouldn't touch any of their former territories that are now in NATO. Moldova would be at biggest risk as they're not in NATO and Russia basically control part of their territory anyway (Transnistria). That's not on the cards right now though given their struggles in Ukraine
