Watched The Woman in Black last night - it was a real let down. It could have been amazing, but instead it was embarrassingly cliched and predictable. It reminded me of a poor take on The Orphanage, what with all the dead kids, and as for the woman in black whose identity we discovered towards the end and whom we got to see up close, what was all that about? The ending was cringeworthy and mawkish and Daniel Radcliffe had the same baffled expression and dead eyes throughout, no matter what was happening. I can't see him as a leading man at all. His acting was appalling.

I watched an hour of it. It was a medieval sword fighting movie. I might watch the rest later.

I'm hoping to get to it tomorrow.

Come and See - I was a bit dissapointed considering it's meant to be one of the best war films of all time, the first hour or so was incredibly slow and pretty pointless in the end as well, the second half of the film was a lot more gripping though, and pretty harrowing too. Probably be best liked by real art film buffs who go on about the cinematography and camera shots and stuff like that - 7/10

Surely problems with the plot aren't the films fault though, being based on a book?

Oh it'll be good to hear what he thinks of it, I wonder if he'll love it as much as we do without having read the books first.

Locke. 24-03-2012 12:13 AM

He will walk out after the first 20 minutes
