I think the last scene was just meant to cement the fact that Lana's success was built on selfishness and evil. She began the story (reasonably) naive and innocent and went through Hell to get what she wanted and everyone else paid the price. Raising Johnny would have been her redemption but she rejected him and doomed several innocent people in the process. Everything she did was mostly because of selfish reasons and she inadvertantly killed a lot of people to get there which ties in to the whole 'ambition is dangerous' line. She got basically everything she wanted but everyone else suffered for it. I think the whole line about 'Looking into evil and seeing evil looking right back at you' was a mirror metaphor.

Everything she did was out of selfishness and ambition and it affected everyone around her, you could say that the evil she had faced over the years had left it's mark which is why she executed Johnny although he had an Epiphany about his actions.

The AHS finale was really good I'm quite pleased

The bits with Jude, Kit and the kids were the sweetest ever I loved it so much. :lovedup: Favourite bit of the entire episode tbh.

Also Lana was incredible in almost every way. I was so happy when she killed her kid (Johnny is his name, right?). :love:
