I think I may have read that same interview about 4 or 5 summers in a row

Gearing up for a ‘massive autumn’

SHUT UP! FILTH!

The best they will do is a week long comedy disaster movie where the chippy catches fire, Max holds Sharon hostage and Linda breaks her arm in an ambulance crash. Somehow no one dies and the square forgets they were living through Final Destination the following week.

Greg! 01-07-2018 10:23 AM

Lmao literally. I'm pretty sure they said this summer was going to be "huge" or something like that, but fook all has happened!

Greg! 01-07-2018 10:24 AM

One thing I've noticed is that all of John Yorke's big storylines so far have either revolved around missing money, or an unknown character linked to a major character's past arriving on the square. Can they please come up with something else! (Apart from the stabbing I guess, but the way it has been executed is heavy handed and ****e)

Amy Jade 01-07-2018 11:56 AM

Shoehorning Mick into the stabbing kind of ruined it for me. The storyline was already solid I never felt we needed Mick invovled.

I like Danny but they seem to want to involve him in all the big storylines.

SOC said the same thing.

It was all leading to.... A pipe bursting in the street and Stacey running for her life.

I liked how they were showing how an incident like that affects more than the family but Mick was the wrong choice. He has too much as it is.

The Carter's are weird. Mick is shoehorned into everything and so the family gets a lot of screen time and yet at the same time Linda, Shirley and Tina are criminally underused.

I agree. I would have liked somebody else to find Keegan because the of investingating the guilt was good but Mick was just the wrong choice to play it because he's got too much going on

I think the funeral will be an extremely emotional but groundbreaking episode of television by including real stories

I very much appreciated Ross reporting to us on the subject. :)

He's like our very own Richard Arnold.

A Dan Wootton tea?

Firewire 01-07-2018 08:24 PM

That quote from Yorke is literally what Sean O'Connor said every time he was interviewed

Firewire 01-07-2018 08:24 PM

At this point I prefer the bins fall out

Are you getting personal and are then going to turn it around on me and accuse me of bullying you?

I trust Yorke more than O'Connor but I can't see how there's been much groundwork tbh.

The SOC stuff felt more like a slow build to something it just never amounted to anything.

Hopefully we're pleasantly surprised.

Cal. 01-07-2018 09:34 PM

I'm really not expecting anything grand.

But the fact the upcoming 'autumn storyline' involves Mel who is one of the show's strongest characters at the moment is promising.

Says the one who is grateful towards somebody posting news late but not grateful to the one that gave the news first
