Sad news about Fletch:(. I hope he makes a speedy recovery because he is a good player and true professional for United:).

Health more important than football! Will this might force SAF to reconsider his stance of not signing anyone in January as the Midfield options at United are getting less?

Why does everyone want us to spend MILLIONS on a cm like Goetze when we have Pogba and Ravel who are both better than him espcially Ravel

bbfan1991 15-12-2011 03:34 PM

Confirmed that Federico Macheda will be going out on loan in January again..

Papers linking Paul Pogba with Inter Milan this time, if it is true that the guy does not want to stay at United any longer then he should go:bored:.

I agree that Ravel and Pogba should be promoted to the first team but IMO we do need a bit more experience in the CM area, as we still have not covered the blow of losing Scholes to retirement and now there is this Fletcher situation...

We don't want to be in Europa League but we might as well win it now, says Rooney.

If we let Pogba go i'm gonna be seriously pissed off he is a big talent unlike the tripe we currenttly have ala Diouf , macheda Gibson for **** sake

Brother Leon 15-12-2011 03:57 PM

If Pogba is turning down what he is apparently being offered then he can **** off.

Ajax vs United in the Europa League draw.

Ajax have a great history and have a good current side so this will be a tough 2 games for United:).

SAF has confirmed that Pogba wants to sign a new deal but his agent is holding out for more money:mad::bored:.

Dimitar Berbatov is fit for the QPR game and Rafael Da Silva has returned to training!

bbfan1991 16-12-2011 03:35 PM

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is relishing the prospect of facing Ajax in the last-32 of the Europa League.

The Premier League club were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage for only the third time in 17 consecutive years, following a 2-1 away defeat to Basel.

However, the tie against the Dutch is evocative of a top European clash, and the Old Trafford boss revealed he has yet to face Ajax in competitive football in his long managerial career.

Ferguson told the club’s official website: “Ajax are a good team and I've never faced them in competitive European football. I'm looking forward to it.”

The winner of the tie will face either Lokomotiv Moscow or Athletic Bilbao is the last-16 of the tournament.

Ajax manager Frank de Boer expressed his delight at drawing a quality club like Manchester United and said he expects the English side to be tough adversaries.

“United is a fantastic opponent. I'd rather had them in the Champions League, but that's behind us now,” the Dutch coach lamented to reporters after the draw. “We can't do anything about it anymore.

“We do have chances against them because I don't expect them to start with their best squad. Still they will bring quality players on the pitch.

“Off course it's difficult to see Lyon draw APOEL Nicosia, because if we were there we stood a good chance.

“I think it's going to be a good experience for the trainers and off course for the players, that's the most important thing

“I think I played one friendly match against Manchester United myself. It was when Peter Schmeichel was still goalkeeper at Old Trafford.

“Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I scored a free kick that match.”

On Twitter, 19-year-old Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen responded to the draw with excitement and reacted with a taunt towards Old Trafford goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, who joined the current Premier League holders in January.

He said: “We have drawn Manchester United in the Europa League! Sorry @ALindegaard but you are going down!”

You were right, well done!;):D:)

Brother Leon 16-12-2011 08:39 PM

Yeh...Ajax are a club with great history. If we are to be in the Europa we might aswell face the best we could face.

City got Porto...that should be good aswell.

Legend killer 16-12-2011 09:48 PM

Would much rather we got knocked out of the Europa to be honest. The fixtures in it are horrible and will leave us having to play catch up games in the league and congest our already busy schedule

Legend killer 18-12-2011 10:28 AM

Pogba and Ravel no where near the team again sigh i remember the days when Fergie actually played talented youngsters

Legend killer 18-12-2011 12:19 PM

I am one of Carrick's biggest haters but it has to be said the last 3 months is the best he has been since he first joined us

On a more sour note Evra is fuken dreadful in defence and has become a real liability and needs to be dropped

Good win for United:devil::D. We should have scored more goals with all them wasted chances.

Valencia and Rooney are a good combination and great to see Carrick score his first goal in ages, what a run. Delighted Hernandez is back too!

DDG hardly had anything to do. Most players were in form, although Evra had a shocker in the first 45 miniutes and has sadly on the decline for ages:(. Patrice did improve in the second half...

Brother Leon 18-12-2011 11:35 PM

"Ryan Giggs is going to Amsterdam!" :joker:

Great away support as usual...enjoyed the match and I witnessed a stunning goal by Michael Carrick :)

Giving that twat Joey Barton stick and then ****ing up to gift us the second goal>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

bbfan1991 20-12-2011 08:43 PM

So Suarez found guilty, 8 match ban and £40,000 fine. I am glad that there has been some kind of justice for Evra but Liverpool's statement is disgusting basically tarnishing Evra's character, although it is obvious Liverpool would defend their player..

I wonder what United's response will be?

Brother Leon 20-12-2011 09:09 PM

Will be at Craven Cottage.

I LOVE when the lads come london. Especially when it is back to back. This is our toughest game in the run in for me.
