The NTAs ruined every channel last night.

CBB only got 2.29m incl +1 last night :( It was however the most watched non BBC1/ITV rating of the day. Waterloo road dropped 1m to 2.4m. NTAs wrecked everything in it's way! :(

Jemal 23-01-2014 08:54 AM

Whats ntas and i thought crimewatch was the reason for its downfall

Nope, I think CBB beat Crime watch.

National Television Awards which got 6.2m and a peak of 7m. CBB11 however dropped under 2m when it faced the NTAs last year.

Jemal 23-01-2014 09:09 AM

Urgh

jackc1806 23-01-2014 09:14 AM

A mixture of the NTAs and a live cup semi final :( means the lower figures. A great number in the circumstances however

daniel-lewis-1985 23-01-2014 11:19 AM

It was a crap episode mind so im glad people didn't see that awful task. It tarnished an epic CBB.

Me. I Am Salman 23-01-2014 11:25 AM

It really was the worst episode. Everything about the eviction, the focus on Sam/Ollie, the task etc :bored:

Rob! 23-01-2014 11:26 AM

That's really not bad at all considering.

daniel-lewis-1985 23-01-2014 11:32 AM

I hated how they opened it again recapping the event instead of just Emma standing there, then after like 5 minutes we had another full recap of this weeks highlights.

Whats the point we all know what happened no need to rehash everything.

Brother Leon 23-01-2014 11:51 AM

I personally didn't watch due to pathetic pro athletes being paid millions being unable to kick a ball on target from 12 yards out.

Samm 23-01-2014 12:18 PM

Still sad about Liz :(

*mazedsalv** 23-01-2014 01:44 PM

However it was not all bad news.

1. CBB held up much better than CBB11 did last Jan against the NTA's, last year it fell to 1.8m when it faced it.
2. The other 9pm shows took a bigger hit than CBB proving how consistent CBB is. Waterloo Road dropped 1m to 2.4m and 24 Hours in A&E recorded 1.90m, one of the lowest ever ratings (and 800k down on last Weds). Literally everything dropped in prime time. The highest non NTA and soap were a bunch of news bulletins which got around 4m.
3. I also forgot it was up against the footie. We were watching that on the laptop, and it went to penalties.

It's a shame it's not climbing much after the strong ratings earlier on in the week. Last night got 2.37m incl +1.

daniel-lewis-1985 24-01-2014 12:30 PM

Big drop in ratings, Cant believe how poorly Liz' eviction did aswell.

Samm 24-01-2014 02:54 PM

still on the 2 million mark tbh

RichardG 24-01-2014 03:16 PM

Let's just hope the ratings stay consistent until the final. It's had a good run, i'm sure C5 will be very pleased.

Jake. 25-01-2014 08:42 AM

2.59/11.7%

Not sure if that's with plus one or not, great jump

Yes, it's with +1. Great rise. Highest real eviction of the series, just behind the fake double which got 2.63m. Very good share too. Pretty sure its the highest since launch.

Nigella tastes defeat to Celebrity Big Brother in ratings after her big comeback

CELEBRITY Big Brother continues to pull in millions of viewers – even beating the return of Nigella Lawson to the screen.

Channel 5’s reality show attracted an average of more than two million viewers on Tuesday while Nigella’s new competition The Taste averaged 1.7 million.

Last night, millions of Celebrity Big Brother fans were due to be treated to a sneaky plot twist as two housemates were going to be evicted, only to be quickly installed in a secret house next door.
