I like the house. Looking at the pictures reminds me more of older C4 houses. I hope they put in a cast that does it justice.

Josy 05-05-2015 05:13 AM

Nice.

Timebomb theme gone already though?

Josy 05-05-2015 05:16 AM

Oh wait, are all these different areas of the house based on BB houses of the past?

Jay. 05-05-2015 05:16 AM

It does like it could be the housemate pictures wall with space for 15 pictures.

15 housemates, 10 week show,

8 normal evictions, 1 double, and 5 people for final in week 10 possibly?

On the topic of house design, it's not my favourite house but it's not too bad either.

I like the bedroom but I don't like the circle pattern on the windows, I would feel very claustrophobic not being able to have a clear view out the window.
I like the lamps beside beds and hope they actually work and are not just for show.

I like that the diary room is downstairs but I don't like how close it is to the couches. People may be afraid to go in and rant loudly for fear of being overheard and you might also get people casually eavesdropping and hear things in relation to secret tasks or even nominations.

I like the kitchen dining area and the overhead light fittings above table, the kitchen cupboards are a bit plain but overall the kitchen is nice.

I like the shape of the couch, but I really really hate the grey and blue carpet. It looks terrible where it meets the actual grass outside, and where it meets the wooden floor of the kitchen. It would have been nicer if they'd used the nice dark wooden floor in the kitchen throughout or a least used a rug or carpet colour that complimented it in the living area. The grey and blue carpet is so ugly.

I like the aquarium in the bathroom and the sinks area with circular mosaic looking tile things. I don't like the shower though and the rest has too much wood in it, reminds me of a sauna in a log cabin and doesn't work well with the tiled cool looking sink area.

I dislike the design that is striped into the garden grass. I dislike the fake palm trees and alligators. I dislike the the paintjob that looks like fluffy white clouds on blue sky.I hate where the carpet meets the grass. I'm not too keen on the viewing area above the pool, it's completely open with no privacy. However I really love the size and shape of the new pool!

The house has plenty of really nice aspects but it just seems a bit mixed up to me. The bedroom is ultra glam but the seating areas are homely looking, the bathroom has a modern cool sink and aquarium area but also a dated wood lodge feel section to it, the garden looks tacky and cheap with the painted clouds, fake palm trees, fake alligators etc. but the kitchen is pretty sleek and cool.

Al these differing styles just don't really mesh well together in my opinion, but overall I'd probably give it a 7 out of 10. (maybe a 6.5)

I love the DR door and the pool
Such a great house, love it

Will. 05-05-2015 06:45 AM

Looks like the bedroom has gone into the old task rooms, can't see a door into the bedroom.

Jamesy 05-05-2015 07:27 AM

Bit of a mixed bag in my opinion.

The living area looks fantastic. Finally the diary room is downstairs! They could actually use that space to have all the housemates sit on the sofas when they nominate, get the tensions rising. The look of the living area is great. Only thing I don't like is the stairs being on show again, but at least it's more tucked away.

The bedroom is great being larger. Although the decor is uninspired and your usual C5 tacky theme.

The bathroom I like too, fits with the style of the living room. That aquarium looks fake though, looks like printed graphics to me, so don't get your hopes up if you think it's real.

The garden look OK. I love the massive pool and how it wraps around half the garden, amazing. Like last years house though it seems very empty in places and feels like it's lacking something. BB14s garden still stands as the best C5 garden for me.

Even though the house feels more cramped it really isn't all that different. You still have one large living space, one bedroom, one bathroom and one garden. Since this was the year of the house having a complete revamp I was hoping we would see more rooms made, this is pretty much the exact same thing but in different shapes.

Also there must be a task room again as the house still seems very small from the BB houses before task rooms, wish they could ditch the task room, it would allow for a far more creative house design.

Saying that I like it and love some bits of it. It's certainly one of the better C5 houses.

Just seen the House pics. Everything looks so good. I'm excited. Only one week to go. :cheer2:

RichardG 05-05-2015 08:00 AM

Still some typical channel 5 posh sparkly hotel theme going on (the bedroom!!) but I do quite like the garden and living room. I much prefer it to last years attempt.

waterhog 05-05-2015 08:16 AM

love it BB - lets hope we have great people to go with a great house.

mrmattybeck1 05-05-2015 08:41 AM

9 out of 10 for me by far the best c5 house only room I don't like is the bedroom

Lostie! 05-05-2015 09:20 AM

I really like how the seating area represents an eye, too.

TomC 05-05-2015 11:42 AM

I have been mulling it over and here is my take. The entrance is acceptable. I like the circular rings on the door and the stairs but I am disappointed that the stairs aren't closed off. The entrance is in fact even more open than last year's which is disappoint as I liked it when they had that 10 seconds of silence between the crowd and the house. I love the kitchen and living area. They are very unique and I think the round sofa with the eye carpet is a very good idea. I also like the diary room position and how the circles that are on the main entrance is repeated. I think the decor and colours in the room kitchen and living area are overall fantastic, and distinctive, although perhaps not as much as BB14 and BB15. Another distinctive feature that I like is that kind of rock face beside the stairs! Very interesting.

The bedroom looks like a bit of a 'tack fest' but it's ok. Once again I like the decor but it perhaps looks too luxurious - it's not really meant to be like a hotel, yet this looks quite over-embellished. It is a bit samey but I know there's only so much you can do with a bedroom. The bathroom is very interesting. It kind of ties in more coherently with the living area than the bedroom. I like how there is rock surrounding the shower, and I also like the big bath tub, and that aquarium! Really hope it's real!

Finally we have the garden. The pool is awesome, as is the smoking area and the seating area beneath the kind of snug. The newly-positioned 'snug' looks interesting too. I like it how it's more removed from the Main house this year, so HMs who are looking for a bit of peace can escape! I also like those bright Orange sun beds! What I don't like however is the tacky fake Palm trees and blue wallpaper around the garden. Cheapens it a bit!

I am really glad the big windows out into the garden have returned! Love that feature as it feels like the HMs just can't escape from each other!

I love the decor and some of the quirky little features! But possibly the biggest disappointment is that the layout is still the bloody same! It's literally barely changed apart from the diary room! Quite disappointing is every C5 house has been so 'square' and we're going to have this very shape for another 6 series of CBB and BB. Was really hoping that the structural changes would be a bit more dramatic...

But overall, 8/10 from me!

Will. 05-05-2015 11:50 AM

Looks like their a rooms on the new pod/tree house?

The layout has kinda changed but hasn't, it's weird!

DigitalSid 05-05-2015 12:38 PM

The living room is sort of a mix of BB3's, 5's and 6's.

Kai Anders 05-05-2015 01:15 PM

But where's the housemate wall? You know, the one thing in Channel 5 changes that people haven't complained about? About the only decent change we've had to the structure of the show??

Someone said you can see it through a window in one of the pics

zakman440 05-05-2015 01:27 PM

The housemate wall is still there (to the right).

Just to add, I'm hoping that the alligator/crocodile by the pool has a hidden camera for BOTS in it, like Gnome Cam in BB6 and Bunny Cam in BB7 did for BBLB.
