apparently Toronto is referred to by some as Taranto as so many Iranians have settled there, there was a huge fuss when London was called Londonstan about racism, so I suppose the same must apply to Canada then, are they exchanging one country where apparently everyone is racist for another

Marsh. 11-01-2020 03:41 PM

Nobody said or suggested everyone was racist.

It would be odd if Canada didn't have their fair share of racists.

Canada actually has had a not-insignificant problem with white supremacists for years. I remember when I was 16 a Canadian girl in her 20's from a forum I was on tried to convince me to become a Neo Nazi. Like a full on, flag waving, boots-and-jacket Neo Nazi :joker:. I played along for a bit, screenshotted the whole thing and posted it on the forum. Ahh good times :flutter:

I used to work for proctor and gamble in grays when I first moved down to Essex. .I had to leave because of a wee singapore woman who chanted songs as she packed the boxes I was stacking in a pallet..this was about 2011..

I saw people threatened and shouted at by the factory bosses..lined up and metal detectored before they can leave for the bus home to the train or bus home..horrid place to work for if you were on the bottom rung...

I lasted 1 year..then got my current job..which is a million miles away from png ..

...a really awful work experience for you when moving away from home was such a big and quite stressful change as well...but that’s part of the road that led you to where you are now ...and you seem to fit well with that job and your colleagues...life is strange, eh...it all has a reason...

...so that’s why you asked me to PM you the information, which said that it was a school project/assignment...long before she had any celebrity, when she was still a child and not a ‘celebrity child..’...so that you could just dismiss it as ‘TV ad equals child actress’...you made me think that you were genuinely interested in reading it...she was no part of the ad, it was a project...but you know that...not only from the thread but from the PM information you asked me to send you...more fool me for falling into your mockery and sending it...very nasty...

It resulted from a social studies assignment that had Markle and her California classmates watching television commercials and assessing potentially implicit messages they sent. That's when the future royal’s advocacy spirit kicked in.

Markle noticed how one ad for a dishwashing detergent implied that women do all the cleaning.

“I don't think it's right for kids to grow up thinking these things — that just Mom does everything,” she says in the video clip. “It's always ‘Mom does this,’ and ‘Mom does that.’”

her parents split up when she was 7 so it could be related to that?

To be honest you don’t know what the future holds, Megan has been married and divorced so has far more real life experience.

I can’t see them lasting to be honest, if they do it will be Harry doing what Megan says.

thesheriff443 11-01-2020 04:57 PM

Harry will be clearly in a difficult place, one hand keeping his new wife happy and on the other hand going against his family.

It was a poor choice of wife and what with his background and status he should have chosen a women like kate but he had to go offroad and now it looks like all going to be too much for him sadly :(

Fury over Meghan and Harry's 'shoddy' treatment of the Queen: Poll shows Britons want royal pair stripped of titles and public money as their popularity plunges.

The majority view of the general public certainly don't match the majority view on here. :hee:
The whinging, self absorbed, arrogant pair who have no respect for the queen are seeing their popularity plummet.

Just a year ago, Harry was the 2nd most popular royal after the queen.
William has taken over as the most popular royal with the queen 2nd.
Harry and Meghan's popularity has dropped dramatically.

Some poll results:

Who do you prefer?
William 65%
Harry 35%

Meghan 27%
Kate 73%

Should Harry give up right as 6th in line to throne?
Yes 54%
No 28%

Should he pay for own security like Andrew does for his daughters?
Yes 79%
No 8%

Oh, the usual sweeping, thoughless, throwaway statement. Maybe if you stopped using stupid words like 'shooketh' and inhabiting twitter and read a variety of newspaper articles/ listened to interviews with genuine royal sources you would understand better why Meghan isn't liked - and not just by DM readers by a long way. Start with the Times, it would be a good start to your Meghan education.

I agree. Work your way through the whole Murdoch press and the anti-meghan sentiment is on full view.
