Chelsea are considering a move for Harry Maguire with the defender now keen on leaving Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

Maguire was intent on fighting for his place at Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag last season.

However, Ten Hag has now stripped Maguire of the United captaincy ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

According to The Sun, Maguire is ‘angry, shocked and upset’ following his meeting with Ten Hag on Sunday in which he told the 30-year-old that he was no longer United captain.

---------------------------------------------

Is anyone surprised?

I'm sure Swan is delighted he could be going to Chelsea

Maguire can’t be any worse than Koulibaly

Apparently Chelsea, WH and Newcastle are all interested in Maguire. I bet they can't meet his salary demands though

Nicky91 17-07-2023 07:59 AM

Xavi Simons first said no to PSG, to stay with PSV

but he is returning to PSG, for a salary between 8 and 10 million a year

and he might get loaned out to RB Leipzig if Neymar, Mbappe stay

Nicky91 17-07-2023 08:14 AM

i can't see Mbappe stay at PSG, he clearly wants to leave and you really shouldn't force someone to stay, that will have a negative effect on the team and in Mbappe's case a very negative effect as his ego is like ENORMOUS

Neymar could replace him up front i think, would also make him feel better to know he can be even more important for PSG

and in terms of new signings

they already have Kangin Lee, Marco Asensio, and Xavi can compete with those two as a solid sub to begin with, then up to Xavi to try and impress Luis Enrique to get more playing time and tbh Luis Enrique isn't a too difficult manager, he does want to give his reserves a chance of playing time too

and especially with PSG's tight schedule with the CL being a must to do greatly there, he also might give reserves a chance of starting 11 in some ligue 1 games before or after important CL games

dutch media's immediately being hateful to Xavi how he sees dollar signs in this move back to Paris, rather than stay in eindhoven, where he could've had 4 million a year salary

PSV intends to loan Charles de Ketelaere from AC Milan with an option to buy him as Xavi's replacement now

Man City are set to accept a £30m bid for Riyad Mahrez from Saudi club Al Ahly, according to The Athletic.

The 32-year-old has reportedly agreed terms worth £25m per year in wages - with a medical scheduled this week.

Probably not, but that's not gonna fill any Chelsea fans with confidence.

However, the bookies aren't confident he'll join Chelsea, that's a relief tbh as the bookies wont give you anything.

They think West Ham.

122 million for Declan Rice

:hehe:

idk if he is worth that huge amount, i mean Harry Maguire isn't worth 100 million either and that amount kinda ruined him at Man United and the England team

but yeah Rice was West Ham's leading man for many years, cashing in properly on him now, rather than lacklustre Feyenoord whom sell their captain Kokcu for just 25 million to Benfica, and i say just because he is worth more and over in Lisbon they are still having the last laugh me thinks, especially Schmidt who knows him well from the eredivisie

Presumably that’s €

It’s £100 million paid in three instalments over the coming 24 months PLUS £5 million of ‘add ons’

it's quite amusing, the price of any player WH are interested in signing has now shot up

Nicky91 18-07-2023 08:13 AM

Xavi Simons will only be sent out on loan to RB Leipzig if BOTH Mbappe and Neymar stay and tbh Mbappe really wants to leave and Real Madrid still want him too as replacement for Benzema

Xavi's salary between 8 and 10 million euro, and he already got 2 million himself from the release clause that PSG paid to PSV which was 6 million so PSV only gets 4 million

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Inter Milan for goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The fee is €51m (£43.7m) up front plus €4m (£3.4m) in add-ons dependent on performance and success.

The timing of his medical and the location have not yet been confirmed but the aim is for Onana to join the squad on tour as soon as possible.

PSG rejected Man United, Spurs loan offers for Xavi basically because they wanted a option to buy and PSG don't want that

they want Xavi as Neymar's replacement next season ;)

Nicky91 18-07-2023 02:03 PM

the way Xavi Simons is currently more trending than the likes of superstar players as Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo

:dazzler: :dazzler:

great next club for his development, RB Leipzig are great for young talent + CL group stage football
