sharp ears could constantly hear things a semi tone higher or something
|
…I’m presuming what Redway means is similar to an expression of ‘tone deaf’ not being used in the actual meaning way but being ‘selective in what is heard’ or ignoring something that is said because it doesn’t fit with a narrative/agenda, maybe…?…someone who is insensitive/unaware etc…anyway, my interpretation of not having sharp ears is another expression for ‘tone deaf’….interesting things we learn in other people’s irritations…that’s not an expression I was familiar with…
|
…obviously I could be completely wrong in my interpretation and that would be very irritating…

Given that the series was based off a Stephen King book which naturally alread has a very large built-in audience, my guessing is that it wasn't merely conceived as just a vehicle for Dean Norris, no.

As for the show itself I have to agree with the above: the concept is good and on paper should have made for a great "Lost-style" show. In practice it was very, very slow paced and I don't think I even made it through the first season. |
