I thought Mania was on the whole a really good ppv and better than the ones in the last few years.

Kane was a good choice to win the battle royal.I've wanted him over on ECW for a while where he can become the dominant monster he deserves to be.The match against Chavo was just pathetic though for a title match.Who did Chavo piss off?

JBL vs Finaly-As far as brawls go this was a cracker. The inclusion of Hornswoggle was a nice touch, loved the little sneak attack and he sold that slap and tash can shot well haha.Best spot was Finlay's dive outside, straight into that garbage can lid.***/5

Money in the bank-One thing you can expect from this match is an entertaining spot fest and thats just what it delivered. All the spots were well thought out, the first two involving Morrison stood out though. What a way for Matt Hardy to return!I thought Kennedy would win but CM Punk was one of the 4 that I definitely considered and was happy with him winning, just hope he doesn't waste it on another ECW title shot.****/5

Batista vs Umaga-This one disappointed me to be honest. It was obviously never going to be much else than a power match but it just seemed to be missing an edge. From Umaga dominating to a couple sloppy moves from Batista and that was it.**/5

Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels.I take back all I said about wanting Flair to lose to a young guy as a method of putting them over. This was well and truly the best match of the night and everything you could ask for as an end to Flair.Him and HBK just had that chemistry to make it work. What on earth this was doing on in the middle of the event is beyond me.The ending with HBK whispering "I'm sorry" was just so emotional. Thanks for the memories Flair, wooooo! *****/5

Bunnymania.Just your normal diva tag match, slightly surprised that the heel team went over.Highlight was that clothesline from Snoop Dogg to Santino,JBL eat your heart out.1/2 *

Orton vs Cena vs Triple H-They set such a quick pace in this one that it just felt like it flew by.A good match with a surprising but pleasing winner.****/5

Mayweather vs Big Show-It was always going to be interesting to see how this one turned out and overall I liked it.The cat like quickness of Floyd to just dodge Shows attacks and get in with attacks of his own were hilarious.Good on Floyd for his approach to things and actually taking some wrestling moves.Things worked out good with Mayweather having to use weapons to win.***/5

Undertaker vs Edge-This was booked really well, always enjoy the matches with multiple close calls that just keep you on the edge of your seat.Only just behind Flair vs HBk for match of the night, brilliant from both guys and just went to show why both are main eventers.****half/5

On a side note.Watch out Asa Powell, your record for the 100m might be in danger with Charles Robinson around.

Overall rating ****/5

An update on the Flair situation : According to various news sources on the internet , Flair was offered the main event , but turned it down , saying the championships should be the most important thing on the show.

Class act!

Dan_ 01-04-2008 05:24 PM

He certainly is a class act.

Raw was brilliant last night. The tribute to Flair was truly excellent, chocked me up a bit seeing that.Thank you Ric, there's certainly never going to be anyone like you again.

Orton vs JBL is an intriguing feud, two of the best heels who do anything to win.JBL is the ultimate arsehole though so it may lead to fans cheering Orton.

Matt Hardy might be taking Jeff's push, he's really deserving of it.

Couple of good tag team matches.Kendrick is still looking at turning heel to me.Great to see Cryme Tyme back to breed a bit of fun into the division

Punk vs Jericho was another good match.

Santino continues to provide the much needed comedy. When are him and Lawler going to have a proper match?

Looks like Big Show's going to stay face and have a battle of the giants with Khali, they wont exactly be much of a spectacle in terms of wrestling but at least it might be interesting to see if the ring stays up.

I Burst out in tears watching RAW, it was that moving and amazing.

Sarah. 02-04-2008 11:54 AM

I watched Ric Flair's tribute thing, I cried too. It was so awesome to see them all come out and thank him like that. I might add that when Y2J hugged Flair, it was so cute, haha. Haven't watched the rest of RAW yet.

Back home now. Got lots of photos that I'm just loading on to my computer, will post them later. Got a couple of good ones of Orton, as I know he has some big fans on here.

Redmond 02-04-2008 02:54 PM

That's where I was sat, took the picture as soon as I got in.

Wow, those seats were really good! Can't wait to see the Orton pics! Got any of Jericho? lol.

Ruth*Star 02-04-2008 03:48 PM

The Jericho ones didn't come out real good. People kept getting in the way.

I'm just uploading all of the photos to Photobucket now, so I can just post a link to all of them, instead of doing it one by one.

Redmond 02-04-2008 07:57 PM

Right here is a slideshow of all my Mania photos. I'll upload the Raw ones tomorrow.

Great Pictures, the ones of the fireworks are phenomenal.

Redmond 02-04-2008 08:44 PM

Thanks.

Here's just a few more of when I met London, Kendrick, Melina, Jillian, Jimmy Yang and the Diva Search winner, who I've forgotten the name of.

http://s194.photobucket.com/albums/z...20The%20Block/

As you can see Kendrick was just happily smoking a cigarette. I didn't think Jillian was that attractive up close, far too much make up. Melina on the otherhand was very pretty and sweet too, she actually took the time to talk. There's a couple of photos of Mean Gene and Hillbilly Jim singing too.

Sarah. 02-04-2008 08:52 PM

Isn't it Lena? She didn't win the diva search, that was Eve. lol.
Great pics, i love the pics of the set you took, and the one of Jericho.

Dan_ 02-04-2008 09:12 PM

Great photos Redmond, thanks for sharing.

Ruth*Star 06-04-2008 01:55 PM

Melina looks lovely in those pictures, i love her hairstyle.

More bad news for the WWE:

It what may prove to be another mark against WWE's reputation, police in Locust Grove, GA are investigating a case where a man has found stacks of drugs and steroids, along with needles in his home that are not his. The house used to be owned by an unnamed WWE wrestler.

The Locust Grove man showed FOX 5 News where his daughter stumbled upon the disturbing find in the attic of their home.

"It was actually pushed over closer to this wall," said the homeowner as he pointed to a nearby wall.

The homeowner was referring to two shoe boxes that contained several small bottles labeled as testosterone, neomasteron -- which is also an anabolic steroid -- some bottles with no markings at all and there were numerous unopened syringes.

Asked what his thoughts were upon discovering the drugs, the homeowner said "well being the fact that I have children I was horrified because my kids actually play up in that room and so the first thing I thought is what if there were to open that and they would have gotten a hold of the stuff and the syringes."

The shoeboxes also contained personal documents with the name of a man who used to live in the house.

Among those documents was a contract from the W.W.E. and a memorandum to W.W.E. superstars in 2004 about the new dress code.

Police will not release the wrestler's name until they have spoken to him. It must be noted that it is not illegal if there are prescriptions written by a doctor for the drugs and if this dates back several years the person wouldn't have broken the Wellness Policy.

Redmond 08-04-2008 11:55 AM

The wrestler is confirmed to have been Mike Knox.

Dan_ 08-04-2008 12:36 PM

Raw wasn't very good this week in my opinion.

Ashley just doesn't have the ability to be a wrestler, why they keep her on Raw is kinda puzzling to me.

The tag matches London & Kendrick vs Cade & Murdoch and Carlito & Santino Marella vs Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes were just very poor matches.

I don't like the route they are going with the fatal four way.Why can't Orton just have a few singles matches. Why's Cena getting another title shot?

The only good thing is the feud developing between HBK and Batista.

Stu 09-04-2008 08:08 PM

Why is Hardcore Holly still employed. His almost as uncharismatic as Cody ''Default'' Rhodes , and he has been with the company for much , much longer. All this backstage ''respect Hardcore Holly'' crap is rubbish. Why respect him? What the hell has he done? Im no expert , but WWE really needs to wake up a bit backstage.

Recall a couple of weeks ago Coachman failed to get out of the way and act like a scared twat when the Undertaker came near the announce table. Post show , repots said he had to get multiple finisher moves off various wrestlers as some sort of silly sentence handed down via backstage ''Wrestlers Court''. Thats putting an announcer , not a wrestler , at risk to injury because of some silly little honor system.

Sarah. 09-04-2008 08:17 PM

The whole Fatal 4 way sucks. I wish Orton would have a feud one on one with someone. I'm sick of HHH and Cena already.

Hardcore Holly's just a bully that stays around to hand a bit of hard justice to anyone who steps out of line. It's pathetic.

Or don't believe everything you hear on dirtsheet websites.

Yeah some stuff like that goes on, but most rumours are false.

A lot of rumors are false yes , but this Coachman stuff was seen by 7,000 people at a Smackdown event , so I would believe it.

Ruth*Star 10-04-2008 01:37 PM

I hate the fatal 4 way aswell, i think it sucks, i'd rather see JBL vs. Randy tbh, or Randy vs. HHH, Why does Cena have to be in yet another title match, its so stale, they could have had Cena feud with Kennedy or something.
John in title matches is just like boring.
