Ruth is the Terri Dwyer character isn't it? I doubt she'd ever come back for more than one off episodes like she has in the past.
But those fire episodes did not surprise me at all, Paul Marquess's stamp all over them. Phina Oruche cannot act for toffee, Carley Stenson was given a cheesy, idiotic and stupid final scene. The entire scenario was stupid.
A news crew were apparently filming the blaze a good half hour before any emergency services arrived. Shame no one thought to dial 999.
The only saving grace for this show is Warren and Mandy's comebacks, without them the show would die.

....but no show alone can go on with just two characters in it, surely ?

Not liking Gilly at the moment, is he meant to be leaving? His stupid angry reaction is just annoying. Ste's acting has got worse, and let's not go there with Rae lol The thing I'm looking forward to in the near future is finding out about Warren and seeing if Warren and Brenden clash. Jamie Lomas is too good for Hollyoaks really, he's be better in something like Shameless

No Gilly is not leaving:p, the quality of the show has improved.. most of last years episodes were dire and it's been confusing at times but things are making sense.

Gilly is another character I don't care for. The only story I enjoyed with him, was during the time he realised he was in love with Steph.

I understand the character's anger brought on by Steph's death, I just don't find it very entertaining.

I agree, although I hope now they do something with him:D.

im annoyed that Amy is leaving as i think her storylines recently have been intresting especially her being involved with the Brendan and ste storyline

I've been away on a girls weekend... My sis and I had breakfast in bed thismorning at the hotel and lay in our beds and watched 2 and a half hours of Hollyoaks.. I haven't watched it for over a year. It was really really depressing but I'm definitely going to start watching again! There's a few new people I don't know.. Ste is gay?? and poor Steph :bawling:

Yeah Ste is having a realtionship with Brendan. But he is on the recieving end of a lot of physical violence from Brendan. Like you i stoped watchen but since the new producer came in it has been brilliant , the stroylines have been really good and they have got rid of the deadwood.

The spoilers have been confusing, theres been some continuity errors and some stuff that was already filmed left out but i'm enjoying the show:D.

I'm getting a bit bored of Brendan now, He's very one dimensional.

Ste has got really bad at acting, or always was, I dunno. Yeah the him and Brenden storyline is very annoying and tedious. Just have an all out Warren Brenden war

I quite like Ste and I thought this story was going to be interesting but Brendan isn't likable enough to pull it off, the actor's good but the character is charmless and it's difficult to believe that Ste would suddenly fall for him out of nowhere. He should be more of a conflicted character really but he's not very sympathetic so it's hard to care for it all. They jumped into it too quickly really without really delving into his character first.

The blast caused internal injuries, Amy just got away with smoke damage I think.

Well then the writers best sort their **** out. Hiring people like Phina Oruche, who I recently recognised from Buffy no less, is not doing the show any good.

I don't think she's that bad, it's pretty much all the students bar Lee & Jem that have to go.

But her acting when her and Tony were watching that girl climb onto the roof was laughable.

She's not great but she's not one that bothers me really.

Yeah, it's sort of like they didn't really know what to do with that storyline. Was sort of going nowhere, so she found out in a really crappy way. They had their storyline with the fire, but they're still just fillers. Getting preggers at 12 should be a massive issue

E4 episode tonight was really moving:(, RIP Malachy:bawling:. Poor Mercedes, Cheryl, Kris and Lynsey too and all the actors did that episode justice:).
