Tim howard has won more then Almunia

Jagielka has been a lot better then gallas lately and is a more solid defender who does not throw a hissy fit when his team losses

And cahill is a better goalscorer and outscores fabregas every season

30stone 08-06-2009 04:51 PM

Toure is a great player not so much Gallas.
and Almunia is amazing.

Alsonso may have done better this season but last season adebayor was like top 5 in the premiership.

Gunners linked with Toure swap

Arsenal, 17:14, June 8, 2009

Arsenal are lining up a swoop for Manchester City defender Micah Richards and could be ready to offer Kolo Toure in part exchange.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is looking to rebuild his defence this summer and has targeted a move for Richards, who could be on his way out of Eastlands.

City chief Mark Hughes is reported to be unhappy with the player's attitude and will allow him to move on if a rival club come in and offer a fee in the region of £6million.

Wenger will not offer that much but could throw long-term City target Toure in as part of the deal. Toure almost joined City back in January and now he has just 12 months left on his current deal, Wenger is happy to use him as bait to land Richards.

If Wengar lets Toure go for Richards i would be very surprised hes usually good with these things.

Adebayor is just your average striker, should be worth no more than 8 million

30stone 08-06-2009 05:00 PM

Almunia is simply better.

30stone 08-06-2009 05:01 PM

LOL.

If he was a Liverpool player you'd be claiming hes worth 40 david.

Shaun 08-06-2009 05:02 PM

Where are the Everton honours, Andy?

And meh, we'll have to agree to disagree. I agree with Adebayor though - he's nothing special. He has so many off-days it's unbelievable.

We need another playmaker and a strong captain figure.

Arsenal are on the brink of an £11million deal for Ajax defender Thomas Vermaelen after Arsene Wenger made a four-year offer for him.

How well do we know the Belgian international defender? Well, Aston Villa were said to be interested in him back in March and ex- Manchester United star Jaap Stam says Vermaelen is set to become a top class Premier League performer.

"I liked the way he was defending as a youngster," said Stam. "I think he was only 19 when he had made his debut.

"But he was a quick learner and strong in tackles."

Here's all you need to know...

Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea target Dzeko to reveal his plans tomorrow
June - 8 - 2009

The prolific Bundesliga striker Eden Dzeko has announced on his personal website that he will be revealing his future plans to everyone on Tuesday. He has been variously linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and AC Milan over the last couple of weeks, as well as having discussions with Wolfsburg about extending his contract.

The Bosnian international has become widely coveted after scoring an impressive 26 goals in 32 games in Germany, helping Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title, and then winning the German Player-of-the-Year trophy.

His agent was reported in Bild as having met with Adriano Galliani over the weekend to discuss a move to Italy.

The statement on his website read: “Chelsea, Real, maybe Milan or Bayern are all the clubs that would like to see Edin Dzeko as part of their teams.

“To stop all the rumours and speculation, Dzeko has decided to have a press conference tomorrow at 12pm at the hotel Herzegovina, where the Bosnian team is at the moment.

“He will announce the names of his potential new clubs.”

Liverpool Rumours now.

http://www.anfieldred.co.uk/liverpoo...sena-juve/2848

Liverpool Rumours: Liverpool up Alonso valuation; Lavezzi on Rafa's radar; Mascherano to Barca; Crouch return; Dossena to Juve

onday's transfer rumours have Liverpool back on the offensive in an attempt to rid the transfer world of some nasty rumours regarding two of the club's best players. Who knew a story regarding Hicks and Gillett would have such a profound impact on the Liverpool squad (I say that in jest).

All of the news rags are trying to break up Rafa's squad, but what else is new!

Alonso (and Liverpool) brace for massive Real Madrid offer
A couple of papers, including the Daily Telegraph, are reporting that Liverpool and Rafa Benitez raised their valuation on Xabi Alonso to over £23 million, which was exactly the amount Florentino Perez offered for the player that Rafa considers part of the "spine" of the squad.

The Telegraph has reported that Rafa is currently waiting for a "mind-blowing" offer from Madrid, but even at this point I'm not sure that would be enough. Let's hope Rafa turns them down!

Lavezzi to Liverpool?
The Daily Mail is reporting what many of us have already known: Rafa is looking for cover behind Fernando Torres. It looks like we're being linked with Ezequiel Lavezzi of Napoli, however the whole rumours seems a bit too far-fetched at the moment.

There's no way I can see Rafa spending the entire transfer kitty for one player. At the moment, that's what the Daily Mail is reporting he's going to do.

Mascherano to Barca for £22million
The Daily Mail again going with the Liverpool rumours, only this time it's one of our best leaving the club! The paper is reporting that Pep Guardiola and Mascherano has a conversation about a move to the Catalan giants.

It's too bad the fee and the rumour are utter bollocks!

Crouch back to Liverpool?
The Sunday Mirror reported a rumour on Sunday that Liverpool could be on the market to bring Peter Crouch back to Anfield for £4 million. I'll believe it when I see it...

Dossena to Juve for Who?!
The Liverpool Daily Post is reporting a transfer rumour that will see Juve send a £4 million cash plus left-back Paolo de Ceglie for Dossena. He's been rumoured to be on the move this summer and, whilst I'd like him to stay around, I think his time has come.

Some ove pricing there. But i suppose every team is doing that nowadays.

Ribery open to move

Chelsea, 15:27, June 8, 2009

Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery has hinted he could on the move this summer, with Chelsea monitoring developments.
The France international winger has been strongly linked with Chelsea as new boss Carlo Ancelotti looks to mark his arrival at Stamford Bridge with a huge signing.

Kaka and David Villa have also been mentioned as targets but Ribery is the player Ancelotti wants and a battle with Manchester United and Real Madrid could be on the cards.

A fee of £60million would be enough to secure a deal and Ribery is refusing to rule out a move away from Bayern.

Ribery told French TV: "I will see how my situation is going to develop. Honestly, I don't know - my situation isn't easy to deal with.

"I am under contract until 2011 with Bayern, I am fine over there. I'm not someone who likes to clash - I have spent two good years at Bayern. We will see how everything turns out."

Chelsea ready to sell frontliners to boost transfer warchest
08.06.09 | tribalfootball.com

Chelsea are expected to sell several frontliners this summer to fund a massive signing spree.

The Sunday Mirror says the likes of Ricardo Carvalho and Jose Bosingwa are expected to be sold. If they left, about £20m could be added to the coffers at Stamford Bridge.

There are also question marks against the futures of the likes of Juliano Belletti, Deco, Branislav Ivanovic and Salomon Kalou.

Although they would not attract massive transfer fees, there would be a considerable saving on the wage bill at Chelsea.

Torres scored 4 more than him this season and the same amount last season, playing less games.

I think he scored 10 times this season playing 26 games, that isn't good enough for a team in the top 4.

Valdimir Putin tries to persuade AC Milan to sell Kaka to Abramovich’s Chelsea

The one who belongs to the lead character from The Passion of the Christ is on the cusp of signing his fate away to Florentino Perez’s Real Madrid.

Sky Sport Italia believe the deal will be formally struck at midnight tonight, at which point Kaka will give a press conference in Brazil. Madrid-based newspaper Marca say Madrid have sent Dr Juan Carlos Hernandez to South America, where he will carry out a medical today. At first, The Spoiler questioned whether Marca had made up a name as stereotypically Spanish as Juan Carlos Hernandez, but he is indeed Los Blancos’ head of medical services.

The most intriguing Kaka-related story in Marca, however, is the one in the purple banner in the picture above. Apparently, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has phoned Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi to persuade him to sell Kaka to Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea.

Quite why Putin would feel the need to involve himself in such affairs is anyone’s guess, but in light of the imminent deal with Real Madrid, it would seem the man from behind the Iron Curtain doesn’t hold as much influence as he may like in the higher echelons of Italian government.
