Nightcrawler is great tbh, another example of a low (for Hollywood) budget film that's far better shot than any blockbuster.

Thinner (1996)

Billy Halleck, an obese lawyer with an obsession with food, accidentally runs over a gypsy woman one night after his wife was distracting him whilst he was driving. At court, he is acquitted due to being friends with the judge and a local police chief. Angry at the injustice, the gypsy woman's father places a curse on Billy just as he's left the court by touching his face and uttering ''thinner.'' Thinking it's nothing, Billy continues to go on with his life, and he begins to lose weight drastically. No matter how much he eats, he keeps on losing weight. Billy is overjoyed at first, but he soon realises he's been cursed. He then desperately searches for the gypsy man wanting him to take the curse off.

One of my favourite Stephen King films, I've seen it so many times and I've never been bored by it. A vastly underrated film. That ending always gives me chills.

8/10.

I watched an ancient film I love earlier called Fierce Creatures! John Cleese is running a zoo, but Kevin Kline and Lady From Halloween come to take it over - they're from the big company which recently bought out the zoo. Lady From Halloween strings Kevin Kline along a bit (he's the son of the owner of the big company) but she and John Cleese realise they're into each other as the movie goes on.

High School Musical 2 - 8/10

Don't Breath (2016)

Starring Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Stephen Lang and Daniel Zovatto.

A home invasion thriller with a game changing difference here: the ''victim'' is a blind ex army veteran.

Alex, Rocky and Money (Minnette, Levy and Zovatto) are three burglars who make a living breaking into people's homes and stealing their valuables to sell to their fence. The trio break into the home of an army veteran in the aim of stealing $300,000 after Money received the tip from their fence. It should be a piece of cake given that the man has lost his sight, and it's one last job that will give them enough money to move on from the business. However, the man awakens and discovers what they're up to. It is then a fight for survival for the three as the man aims to silence them for not only breaking in and attempting to rob him, but after they also discover his deep, dark secret.

Filled with excellent and unforgettable performances, especially Lang's blind man, this is a chilling, suspenseful, nail-biting thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat and makes you actually root for the burglars.

9/10.

The Machinist 8/10 would recommend for anyone that liked Joker.

Mystic Mock 31-03-2020 12:27 PM

Thanks to Dezzy's recommendation I watched A Silent Voice.

Those types of Films aren't normally my thing as the characters can normally annoy me in them and have no likeable traits whatsoever, however I would say that everyone is likeable in this Anime in their own way (even Ueno) every character (bar Nagatsuka) can imo display annoying or unlikable traits, but I do believe that it's the writers intention for that to be the case.

Overall I would score the Film an 8/10 which is a massive victory for a Film like that to get from me.

Nightcrawler - 9/10

Fantastic film :clap1:

Although, I wish we got a little bit background as to why he was such a sociopath.

Babayaro. 01-04-2020 09:56 PM

I should also add that Gyllenhaal's performance was incredible. Totally charming, unpredictable and disturbing all at the same time.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 01-04-2020 09:58 PM

Jojo rabbit - 7/10 cute
