...I've been putting off decorating my son's bedroom since he moved out but it really does need doing because it hasn't been changed since he was around 10/11yrs old..he'll still sleep in it when he sleeps over obviously but I was just going to make it a bit more 'couple' and a bit less 'single guy'...anyway I got some paint today but it just feels so sad in a way to change it because that's his whole teenage life in that room and I'm just extinguishing that..should I just leave it as it is, do you think..?..I did ask him but he doesn't really mind either way...

I'd say change it, You'll always have the past in memories, but changes happen, and you have the chance to make something awesome :amazed:

..yeah I'm ok on inspiration Tom, I just didn't know if I had the inclination, you know..?..I have all the paint and everything, it's just that I was moving some of the furniture around earlier and it felt a bit nostalgic and it was a nice feeling but it won't be the same once I re-do it..but it is the practical thing to do because it'll be better for when he and his partner come to sleep over..but you're right, 'stuff' is not in a room...
