Randomly finding out Lindsay Hohan is playing Elizabeth Taylor in a biopic. I mean, maybe not irritate but... :laugh2:

Redway 28-05-2012 05:17 PM

The way people still don't get what you mean or simply choose to ignore and continue to have it in for you when you've more than expained. :bored:

Kizzy 28-05-2012 05:32 PM

realising something too late to respond....goddammit!!

Vanessa 28-05-2012 05:51 PM

Potentially offensive...

The whole issue of "real women" and weight really gets on my tits. Skinny people are always characterized as these evil villains and are insulted with the word "skeletal" as if these people don't have issues with their body either. The fact people are vilifying people that take care of their figure anyway while they think due to this "real woman" bull**** and chow down on another pot of Ben & Jerry's is just another step towards laziness in culture. Like I guess that it's a self confidence thing to say "I'm a REAL woman" but like... some people can't help being underweight as much as people can't help being overweight. If anything it's harder for underweight people to put on weight than overweight people to lose weight (as can be seen in almost any supersize vs superskinny episode... even in that 90% of the show is on the supersize person.)

The way everyone has a Blackberry just to 'fit in with the crowd'. There are simply much better phones on the market.

King Gizzard 28-05-2012 09:51 PM

Tattoos

all of them

Just hate them.

10-year-olds who think they're 'Top Gs' just because they've reached their double digits.

MTVN 30-05-2012 06:28 PM

When I go to new posts, click an unread thread and read the new posts, click back and then go and click on that same thread again forgetting I've just read it http://www.atheistfoundation.org.au/...s/facepalm.gif

When you put good time into making a lengthy post and then when you hit 'submit reply' you discover that the thread has been closed. :bored:

Perhaps she means the laughable idea of someone being irritated - even enough to mention it in a post - by ten year olds.

MTVN 30-05-2012 07:52 PM

Not just any 10 year olds though, the ones who think they're Top G http://www.intheclubchile.cl/Smileys...izado/arle.gif

People judging me because I still smoke.

I cut down to 2 a day from 20. And yet I still have idiots twisting on 'think of the baby' etc etc

**** you. None of your business.

Stu 30-05-2012 08:09 PM

My mum went through two lighters a day when she was carrying me and I turned out dandy.

Vicky. 30-05-2012 08:13 PM

My mum smoked with me my sis and my bro. My sis smoked through ehr pregnancy too...as did a LOT of people I know and yet only one of the kids ended up with asthma(which is one of the 'risks' of smoking when pregnant)

On the other hand, gavins mam never smoked until a few years ago, and he has really bad asthma...

Its just luck of the draw I think. If your kids gunna have breathing problems they will have them whether or not you smoke. Docs just like to find any excuse to tell you to stop I think. I got told once that if I stopped smoking I wouldnt catch so many colds, which is bollocks :bored:

Exactly. There's this girl in my sociology class who never stops sniffing and she's one of those ones who are into all that 'smoking's bad for your health' stuff. Whereas I've only had a cold once since I started smoking and in that case it was a case of Chinese gone bad...

Stu 30-05-2012 08:27 PM

I know smoking is wicked cool and all but people tend to feel much better when they stop smoking. That is one of them fact things. I smoke myself because I enjoy it so I take the good with the bad but I don't lie to myself with this dog eared, adolescent 'it's all government propaganda - you can smoke and feel super duper!' bollocks.

Smoking is bad for your health. 'I knows a bloke what has cancer who doesn't smoke and I do smoke and have no cancer' isn't empirical scientific evidence to the contrary.

It's a filthy, sexy habit.

Fair enough and, yeah, whilst all that may be true, it's just the stigma attached to smoking and all that, as Vicky says. But you're right in your post, so kudos to you there.

Vicky. 30-05-2012 08:31 PM

I know its bad for your health, but so is pretty much everything I enjoy :p

I'm just not totally convinced that its quite as dangerous for the baby as I'm being led to believe, thats all

Or that it solves all your health problems when you stop...they will just find something else to blame stuff on (if its not smoking, its drinking, if its not drinking, its diet, etc etc)

Stu 30-05-2012 08:33 PM

Drinking is different. There is nothing at all wrong with drinking every day.
