Ok, still really pissed about Ireland but at least Liverpool crashing out of Champions League has perked me up a little. Wonderful stuff.

King Gizzard 24-11-2009 10:25 PM

Could I go as far as saying Liverpool are on City and Spurs standards now

King Gizzard 24-11-2009 10:28 PM

Birmingham's £4m bid for Standard Liege's Serbian striker Milan Jovanovic has collapsed, leaving Manchester United, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Everton to battle it out for his signature.

Nottingham Forest are planning a £3m move for Tottenham defender Gareth Bale.

3m!?!?

30stone 24-11-2009 10:35 PM

lol at the penalty claim on gallas.

Okay 90% of people will say its a penalty, but the bloke directly got infront of gallas as he went for the ball basically no chance whatsoever he was going to miss the bloke, and even then the bloke was half way down already lol.

And since eboues was denied glad theirs was.

King Gizzard 24-11-2009 10:36 PM

I liked Eboues vest

Dare i say without Torres and gerrard, the teams you stated are possibly better.

I think so. All depends on their response now. Everton away will be tough for them this weekend.

King Gizzard 24-11-2009 10:53 PM

I was going to say Villa was up there too but we don't have the big names

30stone 24-11-2009 11:03 PM

Would say villa have almost as many as tottenham but city have more than both

30stone 24-11-2009 11:05 PM

Anyone rate Alex Song?

setanta 24-11-2009 11:07 PM

Yep, I rate him big time. Only prob is his lack of mobility, that's all. But his class is very clear to see.

King Gizzard 24-11-2009 11:09 PM

Our best player is James Milner by a large margine

Ashley Young has regressed

30stone 24-11-2009 11:10 PM

He played amaizngly tonight
Always in the right position.

and what you mean mobility? as i think hes a pretty fast manoverable player? Done a funny trick whilst on the floor.

Last season and this season he has become amazing, hopefully will continue to get better seeing as hes just 22.

Ohh and tonight by 70 minutes played.

Liege - 147 completed passes, 62% accuracy
Arsenal - 461 completed passes, 84% accuracy.

Yep, Ashley Young wont make England now. Milner was on my team of the premiership when we did it 2 months back.

No no, I don't mean tricks - he has classy feet. I'm talking about his basic speed and acceleration.... I don't see the legs.

Yeah Ashley young start to middle of last season though was amazing.

So were barry and agbonlahor really but young was your stand out player, hence why he was wanted by chelsea.

Definately doesnt seem to be playing as well right now.
But hes what 24? Still time..

and walcott was so poor tonight, although 2nd game this season.. not surprising, still has his pace

Could have been 7+ tonight.

King Gizzard 24-11-2009 11:12 PM

Downing will be better than Young

I think we might cash in on Young in the summer

Yeah thats what i said.

"as i think hes a pretty fast manoverable player"
The trick was because i just saw it as im watching it now.

He was out pacing the liege players.
and out paces a lot of premiership players, remember him beating rooney when playing as cantre back the day united won the premier league last season in 0 - 0 draw at old trafford.

If teams still want him, would have done well to sell him last summer really.

Real and city made the prices very high so every quality player was over priced. Would have got 18 - 20m for him i reckon with how well he played.

But they have gone down slightly and hes been playing average.. i reckon like 12 - 15m now..

Which is still good i suppose. would buy you a good 2 players.

Don't remember that really. Just think he's a little slow over the first few yards, that's all and that's can be crucial in big games. Still think he's a class act though.

30stone 24-11-2009 11:21 PM

Its surprising as 2 seasons ago i hadnt even heard about him?

as i watched football farfar less than i do now.

Just checked he only played 9 games 2 seasons ago.. was that when flamini left?
as i guess thats why he would have been played more last season.

Will be the next essien! or viera lol..

King Gizzard 24-11-2009 11:24 PM

I feel sorry for Fabian Delph

30stone 24-11-2009 11:25 PM

LOL!

Matey for liege decided to push fabregas' head with his own. after fabregas stood up because the matey tackled him hard from behind without touching the ball.

Fabregas didnt react, ref gave the guy a straight red then had 60,000 fans shouting who are ya! are him LOL didnt like the look of him all game.
