The fact is you have people in America working full time and still being unable to support themselves, if people can't support a basic living by working full time than that's a huge issue. Now is absolutely the time to raise minimum wage.

Yes but sadly President Biden
can not get it through.
He has admitted that.

He has admitted that.

Then try anyway, and name-and-shame those who opposed it.

Perhaps (unlikely, but perhaps) it'll spread to the UK, where minimum wage should be at least £11.50 - £12 an hour by now. The main issue with that, I guess, if that you'd have to bump up professional wages proportionately (e.g. entry level for a band 5 nurse would have to go up to about £15/h (currently £12.50) as no one is going to undergo years of training for a job that pays 50p over minimum wage. But really that's a positive; the knock on effect of "supply and demand" would mean that Nursing, emergency services, teachers salaries etc. would all increase... in retail experienced managers would be able to command higher salaries... etc etc.

He's basically impeaching them.

Trump said something about that at one of his last speeches when he went to the border wall. He said something like "impeachment works both ways."

Showing a clip of Bernie Sanders saying he will fight for healthcare is not even close to Donnie saying - Those people in that building stole an election from you, fight to get it back. It was an object lesson in whataboutism.

Trump will almost certainly be acquitted. The question is where do the GOP go from here? If they become the party of Trump - which they pretty much are already - they may not get back in the White House for a decade at least. The issues in the Dems seem tiny in comparison to direction the GOP is going in.

Have you voted in my sitcom polls yet GiRTh?

You'll find the polls in the TV sub-forum, 5 polls in all, you can choose 5 sitcoms in each poll. The grand final will be early next week.

Yes Minister, is waiting for your vote.

By the way, Trump won in a landslide, you'll find out eventually.

They've had almost four months to find evidence and so far nothing.

The evidence is there, just a lot of corrupt people in the way at the moment, including the bought and paid for mainstream media.

Truth and justice will prevail in the end. As Bill Barr once said "these things take time"

Do you think the media act the same way to Biden as they did to Trump, or do you think they've chosen a side?

So far, theres evidence that Trump did a bit more than we first thought but nothing of major fraud. Thinking about it logistically for Biden to have 'stolen' almost ten million votes is just insane. It would have had to be a massive operation with a few thousand people involved. Its just a crazy notion. Its just nonsensical

Media are totally different to Biden but that will stop when Trump is out of everyone minds.

World wide operation by all accounts, including us Brits meddling.

Ghislaine Maxwell is still to come into play.

Minimum wage is crazy low, how can anyone live off that?

I'm not surprised, there was too much room for "plausible deniability" ...

I've lost the tweet now and it was probably BS anyway, but it claimed that Trump's speech was still going on when the Capitol riots started? Even if that is true, it doesn't mean Trump didn't try to encourage it earlier in the speech or before.

joeysteele 13-02-2021 08:05 PM

It's no surprise, the one thing I still hope is the Republican party wake up and never inflict that power mad madman onto the World stage again.

After all his ridiculous but also dangerous farces.
