Agreed, just realised. Will you be watching CBB then? I don't follow footie much, but I watched half of last week, I have no intentions of watching it at all. No interest.

It will get around 3.5m I reckon.

Yeah, no interest in either of them and we already know who we are playing in the next round anyway, so I'll be watching BB.

Absolutely flabbergasted by last night's #bbuk #cbb #livefeed rating: a whopping 915k, making it the highest rating 5* show EVER!

Thats quite depressing.

SSL2012 19-01-2012 09:36 AM

The eviction rating is a pity, but its still over 2mil with +1. It's hitting the target five want, and people forget this is presently bb overload. Give it a proper 6month break, advertise it as much as this time with LF back properly, and the ratings will pick up by at least another 500,000 imo. To summarise, the demand isn't gunna be as high if it's constantly in your face.

For now the real talking point for Channel 5 are those incredible LF ratings.

Im still in shock.... does that mean 5* could have won its slot?

Also worth noting that the Kate Thornton anorexia documentary which aired on Channel 5 at the same time had 616,000 viewers - meaning 5* thrashed it by 300k

Would love to be a fly on the wall at C5 HQ today - obviously the rating was boosted by the twist, but it must be embarrassing for Jeff Ford that a show he didn't originally want in the schedules has now become the highest rating 5* programme ever

omg im buzzing so much i knew last nght was gonna be amzing but was not expecting this! amazinggggg!

It really does seem that the current BB productions attract an ever-deceasing "core" audience with barely an increase for "events" - the same day for CBB 2011 attracted 2.6m - this "celebrity" series has dipped below 2m 3 times in 5 days ..... :(

Me. I Am Salman 19-01-2012 11:07 AM

omfg how pisstaking is that. it should have soared past 2 million :suspect:
the LF ratings are incredible though. hopefully theyll take that into account

Black Dagger 19-01-2012 11:13 AM

Live Feed was incredible.

It was obviously because of the twist, if they did that in the time slot of CBB, it'd not nearly have had as much.

Great ratings though and it shows people are interested, really should bring 24/7 back for the Summer.

I think so yeah, it seems to have lost a lot of the casual viewership and you're just really left with the dedicated fan base tuning in each night, explains why the LF has got such good ratings as well

SSL2012 19-01-2012 11:57 AM

The LF proved theirs a core and very loyal fanbase of at least 1million pretty much.

If five bring the LF back properly, and like i previously mentioned give BB a 6month break after the summer series. Then the casuals will return in higher numbers, and infact the LF could lure back a good few thousand of the hardcore's who at present feel disgusted with how its going.

Tbh i do think Five will renew, they can build on this and get the viewers up. Plus it has greatly increased their audience share/profits. It just boils down to Endemol demanding a ridiculously large fee, beliving it's still in it's heydey of 04.

Locke. 19-01-2012 01:48 PM

Gonna be hard for them not to give us more live feed on the summer series. Don't think it will be 24 hours though

CBB8 had a higher launch rating.

Only without +1.

daniel-lewis-1985 19-01-2012 02:05 PM

Chuffed with the live feed ratings but gutted with the eviction rating.

2.1m

*mazedsalv** 19-01-2012 03:01 PM

2.1m with +1. Low in my opinion, but the rating for LF is incredible.

Because of the twist, i reckon 2.4m+ for tonight (last Thursday got 2.8m)
