Lmao, you can't use the World Cup as an excuse if it's getting 1m without the world cup even starting

I can't see the show being able to afford Emma next year

I reckon between bbc and itv she's getting enough money ao I dont think that will be a problem....I do think she will jump before it gets cancelled again....

Yeah. I figured after she got The voice that this year would be her last. If it does come back next year then people need to be prepared for Rylan. Emma hasn't even tweeted once about the show since the second launch night.

Iceman 10-06-2014 12:55 PM

I see BB as her hobby now not a job....

Rob! 10-06-2014 01:03 PM

Just seen - it came last in the 9pm slot.

DigitalSid 10-06-2014 01:38 PM

Not great for the first show, but made up for by the retention for the second.

Samm 10-06-2014 02:39 PM

It's not that bad, It's going to be one off those series when the ratings go up and down

The issue is there was no reason why it should have come last in it's slot last night. There wasn't any notable competition, and Mondays aren't normally terrible ratings wise. If it can't hold up now, the world cup is going to really cause it issues. It's annoying because BB12 for the most part deserved terrible ratings - this series doesn't.

I'm hoping, the Officials will boost the ratings

I just want a renewal contract to get signed, It ends at the end of the Summer Celeb series so it must be soon

Samm 10-06-2014 02:49 PM

There was some competition last night tbh, BBC One had a David Beckham documentary on what got 4.8m last night

Well yeah, but BB is never going to beat BBC1. Hell , channel 5 is never going to beat BBC1.

Im expecting big timeshifts, officials from people watching online ect but that even though that makes the ratings higher it doesn't equate to Channel 5 making money does it?

They only really make money when people are voting and that's usually on eviction nights so for people catching up a day or 2 later on demand then they don't contribute anything financially.

I cant believe this first eviction is up against the football and Corrie.

I don't think voting is BBs main money making not now anyway, surely hardly anyone votes anymore. I am sure the money is made with the higher amount they charge for ads that are in the same slot as Big Brother because more viewers will be tuned in.

The HL show came last in its slot, but bear in mind that the Live Surprise came 3rd in its slot.

Cal. 10-06-2014 04:34 PM

Hopefully the live surprise gaining more than HLS may persuade them to get more live feed.

Rob! 10-06-2014 05:03 PM

Live feed doing better than the mains show. Awks.

I doubt it with the main show not doing too great...

Jamesy 10-06-2014 05:30 PM

The live feed getting a good audience last night shows that the show would benefit well from it. If tonight has decent ratings then that will further confirm how beneficial live feed is.

I don't understand why C5 don't have live feed online. Heck, they could even charge it for a small price to have some return on it. I'm sure the majority of people on here would pay something like a tenner to twenty quid for live feed all summer.

Samm 10-06-2014 06:53 PM

Should do well tonight, In the 10pm slot, imo it only went down yesterday because the David Beckham documentary got like 4.5m+
