Great rating

*mazedsalv** 17-01-2015 09:16 AM

I think the show finished at 10:27pm and so does another DS member, if that is the case, then the tapechecked rating was actually 3.06M.

:amazed:

I can't believe how well bots and the live feed did!!!!

mrmattybeck1 17-01-2015 10:10 AM

Very Good, is this the highest ever eviction for C5 BB? Or did Lee Ryan's get more?

Lee's eviction got 3.07m overnight (3.63m official) and remains the highest eviction since the move to Ch5. But if tapechecked news is correct and last night got 3.06m, that is incredibly close :hehe:

I'm literally dying rn.

How has a show that has had 33 series managed to get 3 million viewers! I'm actually over the moon that the show continues in popularity! I'm so proud! Hats off to C5, Emma, Rylan and producers, this series truly is excellent viewing that can't be missed! I'm so excited to see these figures jump even further in officials!

C5 have changed it it couldn't carry on the way it was on c4 quicker pacing and more dramatic highlights has really helped the show

Rob! 17-01-2015 02:27 PM

When do we get officials?

Cal. 17-01-2015 02:46 PM

So this Celeb series has got similar ratings to what the civilian version was getting back in 2008!

daniel-lewis-1985 17-01-2015 03:10 PM

Brilliant rating and that share for Live feed at that time of night is incredible.

They seriously need to look into making live from the house a nightly thing as it beats every other show it usually has in that time slot.

Im hoping the overnights can stick around the 3 million mark because this series deserves it. It deserves to be getting 4 million a night imo its that good.

So pleased :)

I'm hoping C5 can find a way to sustain it for BB in June

A fantastic group of housemates. A really wide range of characters! :spin:

Are these officials higher than usual due to the repeats on MTV or are they not included?

If that Thursday time shifted half a million then the likely hood is most episodes will be near or over the 3 million mark.

I'm sure they're not included and the 3.04m is just on those watching on Sky+ and catchup. If you add all the MTV repeats together they would probably amount to over half a million anyway! If they add them in it'd be closer to 4m (I think).

And yes, if Thurs timeshifted half a million, then if we added half a million to the current overnight average of 2.64m it'd be ~3.10-3.15m. That's IF they by average add by half a million and if it still does as well as it has been (there is usually a drop off during series except CBB13!).

Samm 17-01-2015 05:16 PM

The CBB viewership is probably about 4 million anyway seeing as people watching online and worldwide don't count

The same for BB, the viewership for that is probably about high 2 million/3 million with all the stuff they don't count in

No doubt, I'd say there's a fair few thousand in Ireland watching too, going by Twitter and the likes. And then you've got the BB nerds from around the world watching too, who watch every series haha

Yeah, especially since there are often Irish housemates.
The show still gets featured in newspapers most of the time; every day with the Celebrity series (Ken was on the front page last week) of The Mirror, The Star always provide good coverage (still).

I think they really should have aired it when Jedward went in; the series was back from the dead - Ireland's basically most famous people at the time were in - but TV3 saw it as not good enough then, now they want it when they're struggling.

But yeah, most people who really want to watch can through Channel 5 on Sky/Freesat or online.

Maybe put it on a digital channel as well lots of Irish people watch bb

daniel-lewis-1985 17-01-2015 06:06 PM

Theres no reason Ireland shouldn't be allowed to air it the viewers would be up quite a bit.

Do you think Channel 5 are just being spiteful because they didn't want to air it in 2011?

Most likely but endemol recently declined an offer to air it on tv3 in Ireland recently I believe

Will. 17-01-2015 08:13 PM

Reckon it will do very well for a Saturday, not much competition.

daniel-lewis-1985 17-01-2015 08:58 PM

If this episode was on on a Sunday I fully believe it would hit 3 million its allways the way isn't it when the best episode unfortunately falls on a Saturday.

Im guessing its going to get 2.1
