Did you pick Abba to win in 1974. I did and have watched every once since. I watched BM, BF and KATW all win for the UK

What are your credentials?

:joker:

I will go and put the kettle on

Braden 02-03-2017 04:38 PM

I'm surprised you're still a Eurovision fan tbh, LT :joker:

Do you prefer it now or back then?

Back then when we put a great song in and now look what we have become in the last say 10 years

utter mindless pap

Other nations however have stepped up and Conchita winning a wee while ago was as good as Eurovision can be

I watched the 1998 contest, which was when we last hosted, not so long ago. I think it's on YouTube. It's actually one of my favourite contests, and it makes me hope we can host again although it would be completely different.

Were you a fan of Dana International? I don't think she's of the same vocal prowess of Conchita, but her performance is probably one of my favourites of all time :p

The voting was so close that year as well. It literally came down to the final 12 points.

I guess that's why I can admire last year's voting format because they wanted it to be as tense as possible, but it just didn't have the same impact as it used to. I remember watching 1993(?), It was between the Irish entry (who eventually won) and Sonja for the UK and it came down to the last 12 points.

Its funny to think that when Bucks Fizz won the skirt pull off at the end was a huge thing :joker:

That and a great song, they had some great hits after too

With this they became the first British group of the 1980s to score three number ones within a year.

reece(: 02-03-2017 05:23 PM

reece(: 02-03-2017 05:24 PM
