I'm guessing the Timeless Child thing might be an arc? Unless it was just BS to distract the Doctor. Maybe Susan is returning :D

Marsh. 14-10-2018 07:02 PM

Grace to be the arc villain?

Marsh. 14-10-2018 07:28 PM

Just realised what the titles/music remind me of.

A Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2005 feel for some reason.

Was she the one who threw herself down the stairs? I remember her!!

LOVED that episode.

The titles.
The TARDIS.
The Doctor, again.
Spoiler:

The visual effects are so fantastic this year, some of those shots wouldn't have looked out of place in Star Wars. I really liked the fact we got some follow up on the monsters from episode 1, and I'm hoping the "timeless child" thing crops up again. Felt like we could have done with a bit more from the companions, but I'm hoping next week's plot won't need as much exposition so there can be more time spent focussing on character development, particularly for Yaz.

I have mixed feelings about next week- it could be brilliant but could also be handled terribly. The fact that it's Malorie Blackman writing it gives me some hope- I just feel like forcing an alien threat in there could feel tasteless. I would love a pure hitorical episode.

Racist aliens trying to drag Rosa off the bus?

Marsh. 14-10-2018 08:42 PM

But it's the first episode of the new era written by someone other than Chibnall so it shall be interesting to witness.

Oliver_W 14-10-2018 08:45 PM

I think it was good but not amazing. I don't know if it was the directing but it dragged on a bit, it felt like there wasn't enough story to fill the runtime. But I liked it.

Bit of a weird episode this week, enjoyed it still... but there didn't seem to be much to it

Glenn. 14-10-2018 09:42 PM

Scarlett. 14-10-2018 09:58 PM

I wonder if the TARDIS will be added into the titles next week?

He hops on stuff just for the sake of commenting.
I don't think he watches half of what he comments on.

Why are you spoilering Rosa Parks - there were two next time trailers telling us she was in the next episode.
