Surely it's worth pointing out that most full-time 9-5 jobs only pay 35 hours (sometimes 37.5 hrs) already? Hardly anywhere pays lunch break these days so 8 hour days x 5 days rarely pay 40 hours...

I wonder if the idea of a 32 hour work week is based on 4 days 9-5 but making the lunch break paid?

I personally think unpaid breaks are ridiculous in many ways anyway, everyone working a full day should be entitled to a PAID break.

As things stand though, I can't see how a 4 day working week translates to 32 hours. It would be 28 hours or 30 hours, depending on if lunch break is 30 mins or an hour.

Boris Johnson was on Monday night accused of presiding over a cover-up after it emerged that No 10 refused to clear the publication of a potentially incendiary report examining Russian infiltration in British politics, including the Conservative party
The Guardian

Downplaying an act of covering up a report that could inform the voting public about how the election could be corrupted by outside forces?

Why are you valuing a party over protecting the sanctity of your own vote?

Same reason he stopped talking when I told him johnsons deal is £70b per year. Facts are meaningless when it disproves wish fulfillment.

It's what the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) are claiming (it's the best, non-partisan guesstimate we have) . You won't even acknowledge that it's impossible for us to get a deal as good as staying in the EU.

Let's say that it was an absolute fact that even Johnson agreed with, would you then be against brexit?

arista 05-11-2019 12:31 PM

Yes assumption a "Guess"

While you post the guesstimate costings of everything labour want to do. So if everyone agreed it would cost £70b/yr, would you then be anti-brexit? You didn't answer the question.
